You may grow up to find,
That this world can be cruel or kind.
I hope that it treats you well,
May you choose right, and not dwell,
On the small things in life.
May you experience fairtytale love,
And thank the Lord above.
With children running around,
It’s a beautiful, beautiful sound,
One I couldn’t live without.
I have nurtured you as best I can,
Dreamt of your future but that’s your plan.
If only I could protect you forever,
I wish you the best in all your endeavors.
Mother just wants the best for you.
