Wake up before the sun rises,
Do our morning routine, twice.
By the time we are dressed, noon appears,
And it’s feeding time again.
Naptime provides only a short time,
Each day those two hours fly by,
For me to do, everything.
My wants come last, yours needs come first,
I need three more of me.
We play, we laugh, we hide & seek,
To make the most of life,
Too fast dinner rolls around,
Daddy is home, to play some more,
It’s cooking and dishes galore.
One hates the big boy bath now,
The other one doesn’t want to get out,
Who puts whom to bed tonight?
Daddy takes you, Mommy takes the other you,
Together we are a team.
By sun down, my head is heavy,
My limps are tired, my eyes are closing,
All I want to do is put up my feet.
Instead, I push myself to read more,
Pulling out my laptop, I attempt to write,
Come on brain work with me.
I half watch movie with Mr. P.,
While learning a new language.
Did I even comprehend what I just read.
Bed should come early tonight,
My pillow is calling my name,
It’s midnight now, I have nothing left.
Until tomorrow when I wake up before the sun again!
