Me & Mine {July}

We have been loving Mr P joining us on our USA vacation these past two weeks. Many days have been spent at the beach and exploring the national parks around us. We are loving the amazing weather here and all the summer memories we are making together as a family.

We are also sad that Mr P has to return to the UK this Saturday. It is never the same without him here but we still have plenty people flying in to see us and more family to catch up with over the next month while we are here.

I am loving that we get to spend our summers state side with my family. I can’t repeat enough how much fun we are having and how much the kids have really come out of their shells. They seem to be so much happier outside running free in the sun and having so much family around all the time. I look forward to the many summers we will have here in the future together. I am loving that I get to share my childhood memories with my kids and making it a part of their childhood memories now.

Even though my kids were too into the beach and sandcastle building then taking a family photo I still love these photos. They will remind me in years to come of many, many great memories we made together here on the beach.a family portrait
The kids are loving playing with so many other kids whether they are strangers on the beach or all my nieces and nephews visiting there hasn’t been a day there isn’t other kids their own age around to play with. Buba wakes up each morning asking where all the people are and what I did with the kids. It is so hilarious. He truly has become Mr. Social which is a long way from Mr. Skittish. Both kids are loving the sun and I am loving their beautiful sun kissed tans. I never would have thought my two blondies would tan so well! It’s fantastic. a family portrait
Mr P has really loved being here for two weeks, a much needed break for him from work and the pressures of life. Funny enough his cell phone stop working the day he landed so for the first time since I met him he has been completely free of a phone. I think it’s made his vacation that much more special to free himself from technology in the woods surrounded by beautiful sceneries with his family.

    Its so lovely that your little ones are so enjoying mingling with their family and new friends, and I think its lovely that you’re doing summers in the USA….a perfect way to blend their two backgrounds and really give them a proper taste of life in both countries! You can’t get that from a week long vacation!

    • Exactly what we were thinking. We do summers here and every other christmas which gives them plenty of both cultures, families and friends. I am truly blessed that we can do this otherwise it would be extremely hard to be so far away from home.
