The ringing of a new year,
All the things we may bear,
Life gives us new faith and hope,
For the coming year.
We make new goals and lists,
Hoping all will be bliss,
Wanting to exercise more,
And eating vegetables won’t be missed.
The first two months find high motivation,
The following months lose their determination,
Through the seasons we promise ourselves,
We will ignore temptation.
The new year has rolled around,
My resolutions and lists hopefully astound,
May I achieve these things greatly,
Until the next new year’s bells sound.
