It’s the weekend! Well, almost. Happy Friday everyone! I have been dying to get to this weekend. Our week has been absolutely packed out and we have all been struggling to keep up fighting colds. On the bright side, we are very excited our baby news is out now and have been making plans for our new family addition. With everything in life there are a few things that may needing adjusted like how to get three in the back seat of my car, building in our loft for another bedroom, and me flying to America next summer solo with a newborn and two kiddos. I will be fine. But these things have to be thought out and planned.
I am relieved to now explain why I painted a beautiful pink adult only sitting room with white furniture and only three months later do a room swap and repainted it again to make a playroom. With a baby on the way, we felt all the glass decorations, breakables, my office, and the big marble fireplace should all be in the same room where there is a door to shut and hide it all away from the kids. The older kids were starting to get curious with my computer, laptop, and numerous cameras on my desk which was in the playroom. There is also a very large marble fireplace which isn’t safe with candles and glass vases on it. A no-go for baby proof in this house. So we room swapped and are creating a lovely playroom for the kids and baby to tear up and it’s hardwood floors already in there so it’s a win-win. We really should have done it this way in the first place. Can’t wait to share both room tours with you soon.
THIS WEEK I AM LOVING…
I haven’t even started Wilde Like Me. I am absolutely full of a cold and have deadlines all week to try to keep up with. Yesterday, was a write off as I couldn’t stop coughing, had a fever, and felt like I was dying. Poor baby getting coughed around my belly like mad. I can’t even take anything for it either. GRR! But this weekend it’s on my to do list as it’s a calm weekend ahead…. Anyone else read it? I hope it’s a page turner!
By now you will have heard our amazing baby news…if not, you can catch us telling our kids here. But have you heard we are on bump watch already? I have started a new linky called Bumps & Babies for pregnancy, maternity, birth, baby products and babies up to year. I am excited to share this journey with others in a way I never got to with my first two babies. As it’s my last baby I feel like documenting like this will be very special, a first and last for me! You can catch my 12 week bump update including my 8 and 10 week bump snap as it popped this time very early.
It was another busy month for us to share for our Snapshots & Scenes roundup. I love using all those daily, random, everyday moment clips off my iphone and put them into a video to sum up our family month together. I was too often capturing memories and never doing anything with them. I love looking back and seeing what we did around the house or where we went or even just watching our snuggles on the sofa reading good book. Those are the memories we tend to lose as they grow up and it’s beautiful to have these to look back on. Hope you enjoy our busy October memories here. Come join us sharing your everyday memories too. It’s open to join in first Monday of every month and open for two weeks so you have plenty of time to be reminded and get those clips or photos together.
I am in that stage where I am not big enough for maternity but I can’t tell you how tight my skinny jeans are now. I think I might need to switch over to leggings soon. I will miss my jeans. So until I have a cute bump and not just look like I ate too much cake and have some maternity outfits to share with you, I will let MM steal the show this week. She has been styled by Jojo Maman Bebe for winter, check out her five new favorites outfits from her winter wardrobe here. I love her in red and yellow, why haven’t I bought her red until now. Normally, she struts pink and yellow but what doesn’t go with yellow???? I love it.
Is it too early to think about Christmas? NEVER! In my opinion, I like to think about the merry month ahead, all year long. I am making an effort in decor this year. I am almost done with Christmas presents this year. We are staying in the UK for the first time with the kids over Christmas and New Years which we have never done before. Thought we would save some pennies for baby coming. So I have been getting ready to decorate the house as we do it the day after Thanksgiving which is also famously known as Black Friday. I hope you got your Black Friday shopping list ready always amazing bargains online as much as in the stores.
How bright and beautiful are these winter snaps from my lovely community #lifecloseup. They make me smile! In all the dark, gloomy, rainy weather we have been having clearly some people are finding the light and adventures elsewhere in warm, bright, sunny places around the world. I love how many various countries my snappers are from in the community. They are great IG feeds to follow, just click on the photo to find them!
