It’s been a great week in my pregnancy. I am getting better sleep and more comfortable somehow even though I am bigger now or perhaps I just got used to the bump now. I feel like I can get a full days work in, keep up with the house chores, and kids when they get in from school until bedtime. I love checking off those to do lists at the beginning of the year. I was worried my tiredness would never go away but I am high energy Jenny once again.
I think I have a huge build up of beginning of the year organization and nesting, colliding in me. I have cleaned out the loft, my closet which two three full hours, the kids wardrobe, made space for baby stuff, and even took all the crap to charity, the dump/tip, and the rest on ebay to sell. Phew, it’s about starting the year with my business plan in order, a clear head, a clean and organized house, and I am ready to take on anything at the moment.
I daresay, this energy won’t last forever so I am using every ounce of it I can to plow through my list of things I wanted done for months now, like mailing the kid’s school uniform photos to the entire family in America and Ireland. They have only been sitting there since October. Ooops. Or get the coffee machine fixed instead of just using it and unplugging it every time because it wouldn’t shut off. Call that lazy, because it’s been broken since August. Eeek.
I am feeling baby move, kick, and flop every day now. It’s a comforting feeling to have those movement to let me know he is in there and well, growing happily. He does like to stay really low which B and MM were always really high in my ribs so this seems different so far in my pregnancy. It makes me feel like I need to pee all the time even if I don’t have to.
I have finally stopped smelling everything so strong that it’s over powering my senses. A few weeks back I couldn’t even stand being in the gym, I could smell everyone’s sweat. UGH. I hated being in a restaurant because it was just too many different food smells mixing and made me feel sick. That’s gone at least as it was really annoying. Even my house smelled different and funny when I walked in the door. I hope this isn’t how others smell it?
BABY IS THE SIZE OF AN ENDIVE or LARGE CARROT AT 26.7 CM AND WEIGHING 360 GRAMS.

This week the number one question everyone is asking me: HAVE YOU PICKED A BABY NAME YET? No, we haven’t, not even close and the more I think about it the more I get discouraged we will never agree and it will be Baby No Name Taylor for us. Help!!
CRAVINGS & CHANGES:
I am doing much better on the eating front after Christmas and a healthy “no sugar and fast food” diet lately has made me feel so much better. It’s amazing how good you feel when you eat right and exercise regularly. If only I could keep being good until the end of my pregnancy but those cravings do have a way of working out my self control sometimes. At the moment, I feel in control and more like myself since I got pregnant. I have high energy levels and getting so much done in the house it’s unreal. Not sure if the energy is nesting or just a boost of that glow stage before I hit the third trimester and get tired again.
So far bump is maintaining it’s size but super low. I feel like he is up against my pelvis bone all the time kicking and punching it. Boobs are getting out of control in size though, I didn’t have that problem the first two pregnancies. Definitely something to get used to and better bras for that matter. I am full in maternity clothes and have a few maternity shopping haul videos coming up so keep watch on my Pregnancy Playlist on youtube.
I am craving anything salty which doesn’t help water retention but taste so so good. If only I liked water, but trying to drink as much as my body allows me before I feel nausea by the thought of another glass of water. Why can’t I love water like other people?
Time is ticking away and this week it feels the longest in between 20 and 21 weeks so possibly it will slow down so I can soak it up a bit more. We are off to Disney World Florida in four and half weeks so hoping bump, baby and body behave for a big family holiday ahead.
