I love bright, vibrant clothes on my kids. They love it too. It suits are personalities. Whatever season it is you can be sure my kids will stick out. I think that is partly the reason I have always been draw to the style, to easier spot my kids while we are out and about. My kids are the first to pick out something bright and fun over pastel and light any day.
My daughter loves to keep up with her brother climbing, soccer, playing in the mud and play cars but she also loves her skirts. Skirt and sweaters in winter, skirt and blouses/t-shirts in summer, it’s definitely her go to style. I didn’t even plan this style for her, it just happened over the years. She would pull only her skirts out and a pair of leggings if she was cold then she decides what top with pair with it. Or is she has a dress on she would pull a sweater over the top so it looked like a top and skirt. I have to say without knowing it she has better style sense and puts things together better than I do out of her own wardrobe. She impresses me sometimes. Even the other day, I thought I would have never put that together but it looks fab on her. Well done, MM!
My son loves shorts. He would wear them all year long if I let him and the moment he gets a chance to wear shorts at school for his uniform, he is in them. He has a love for all clothes really and always has. He is the first to ask for clothes for his birthday or Christmas presents rather than toys. When he gets new things, he will always beg can I try them on right now? I love that makes shopping with him heavenly. He even helps his dear old mama pick things out and try things on.
They definitely have their own styles even if I am the one buying the clothes.
We have been longing for Spring to arrive. Hasn’t everyone? With the random snow we had last week which never happens where we live, I never thought come Mother’s Day this past Sunday it would be 12 degrees and the kids would be begging for lighter layers and no coats. My kids have a thing about not liking to wear their coats? Anyone else’s kids the same?
Well, we celebrated Mother’s Day by getting out in the garden, putting some fun spring clothes on to get us in the mood and play some soccer around the garden with music on. We even got out the cushions for our outdoor sofa. It was fab. I thought, this is more like Spring arriving. I couldn’t believe the temperature rise in only a few short days from minus something to twelve degrees. The kids were in the best moods ever, running around the garden soaked up that fresh air they have been so desperate for.
Our bright styles may get us through the winter blues but it’s really when we get to shed those heavy coats, hats, and gloves and get those legs and arms out that we feel free to just roam and be free outdoors.
Frugi Organic Kids Clothes are super soft and wash well. With my son’s allergies and sensitive skin I like to still to the organic clothing ranges if I can. His favorite tops or sweaters are always the organic ones. He loves how they feel on his skin and I am a bit like that when I pick out clothing it’s the texture and feel of the fabric that I am draw to as much as the design or style. I can’t wear wool sweaters because they itch my skin like crazy. The kids are the same. With baby on the way, I am already scoping out some coordinating outfits for baby boy and what would be the softest on his skin too.
I also love coordinating them when I can but with a baby on the way, 4 year old girl and a 6 year old boy this can sometimes be tough. I love that Frugi clothing have a love for bright and character fun that really all coordinate together no matter what I put on the kids. I think my three in these will look fab together. It won’t be long until little man arrives. I can’t believe it.
Have you ever shopped at Frugi online? Check them out for baby, toddler and kid’s clothing ranges. They even have a maternity line too!
