I have been SHORTLISTED for the 2014 BiBs

When I first started blogging, I didn’t know much about the blogging world. I had read and followed blogs but I had never heard of linkys / blog hops and all the other lingo and aspects of blogging that came with it. I jumped in blind and went straight to self-hosted. People keep asking me why I went self-hosted right away and to be honest I don’t know. I have always been an all or nothing girl, so it was sink or swim for me.

I have been guided and advised by many amazing bloggers who didn’t have a clue who I was but helped me so much during the early days and even now. It’s a long learning process.  It was only because of them and all you fantastic, supportive readers that in my first year I find myself being SHORTLISTED for a Brilliance in Blogging Award: Fresh Voice! 

I was thrilled, shocked, over emotional and nervous all at the same time when I heard I had made this list, among so many, many of my own favorite bloggers and friends. I wish everyone could be on the list as al l bloggers work hard and are all amazing in their own way.

For me, it’s probably the only category I fit into and next year I won’t be new so I am honored to have this opportunity to get this far, in this category for the BiBs this year. Obviously like any human my first reaction is to run to every door in the neighborhood and shout VOTE FOR ME then run inside and shout online across my social media accounts VOTE FOR ME! But with Awards season in full swing, it’s been a continuing roll of VOTE FOR ME lately. I hate asking, but my Momma always said, “if you don’t ask, you don’t get!” I wonder what she would think about begging? lol

So to all you wonderful readers, I need your help and support, YES I am begging asking…

Blogging has been a godsend for me. Living abroad can get tough and having children has really helped that but blogging gave me that extra happiness to continue my passion for writing. I have met some amazing friends through blogging, which is icing on the cake. You know that lovely cake I am going to share with all of you if you vote…. Ya that one. I have never felt so apart of a tight community as I do now apart of the blogosphere. I thank you all for that!
