We are back from the UK and back online!!! Did you miss us??? Here are our family of five, family photos from our trip!

What a few weeks we have had as a family! For the first time in six years, we took a vacation and turned off our phones. My brother was getting married and both Mr P and I had been working crazy hours at work so it was long overdue and needed. It was a chance to give our three children and our entire extended family that was there our constant 100% attention. As luck would have it my phone stopped working the day I landed (if you can call that luck) but it meant I wasn’t tempted to peak at emails or get lost for hours on social media. After a few days I can’t describe to you how it felt (which is another post coming soon). Easter was fun and the wedding was blissful and we are recharged and getting back into our normal family routines with school and work.

Just because we unplugged didn’t mean we stopped the adventures. We hit Atlanta, Georgia’s top three family days out in the city center to make the most of our trip. While the city has so much to choose from for family days out, we really enjoyed the Children’s Museum (highly recommend for 8 years and under), the Aquarium and the Zoo.   We even did the entire Aquarium in the morning (next to the Museum) and the entire Zoo in the afternoon as its only 15 minutes away. Next time we have our eyes on Six Flags (it was closed, opens in May), two water parks and Legoland.

We left with coughs and colds but the hot sun quickly remedies us back to health only to land with the vomit bug on the first day back to school. Not ideal having missed all last week but typical I suppose with three kids traveling across the world. My family of five in April Family photos portraits family travel Altanta Georgia Children's Museum

There is a gorgeous park next to my brother’s house where we could throw the frizby around, kick the ball across the fields, play on the playground, or have a picnic. I don’t know about you but my kids just behave better outdoors. The fresh air does something good to them and they just blossom in the sunshine. As I am sure it does for everyone. It was amazing having my extend family around the kids and them bonding with aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts and even second cousins. I love family dynamics and how they all get along every time they get together. I only wish we all lived closer together.

My Family of Five:

DADDY IS LOVING…

Our trip to Altanta and a bachelor party with my brother.

Easter with the kids in the sun.

Days out with the family and hanging with three of my brothers.

MOMMY IS LOVING…

Seeing family and spending time with my kids.

Being in America on holiday in the sunshine.

Shutting off from the online world for two weeks. (not that I don’t love my online family too).

BUBA IS LOVING…

Playing family games with our extended family.

Going to the Museum, Aquarium, and Zoo with all of us and his cousins.

Being in my brother’s wedding as ring security aka Ring Bearer.

MISSY MOO IS LOVING…

Being pampered by her aunts, great aunts, and girl cousins. SO much attention!

Having three seats to herself on the airplane for an overnight flight. She stretched out and slept the whole way, first class style.

Being in my brother’s wedding as flower girl.

OWIE IS LOVING…

Taking his very first steps in America, one week before his brother and sister did in America at this age. He still can’t crawl but he can walk –  hmmmm….

All the family’s attention and being held 24/7 by someone.

Going swimming. This baby can’t get enough that he tries to claw his way out of your arms if he sees a pool now.

Atlanta’s weather was good to our family of five. We only had one cold day and the rest was perfect. It’s a great place to visit for families and a hub for stopping and flying off somewhere else if you are thinking of multi-city destinations. We have such a great time when we visit my brother. I am looking forward to him adding to the family tree and seeing them all again shortly. The kids were so well behaved and with full itinerary while we were there they kept up with us even Baby Owie (after jetlag was gone) enjoyed our adventures with us. I can’t wait to share some wedding photos with you soon.
