You don’t need me to tell you it’s summer time. June is upon us and one of the things I love about summer besides the obvious is Summer Berry Pavlova. It’s one of my favorite desserts and if I am eating out at a restaurant I will always choose some form of meringue. This recipe is super easy, which I always promise all my recipes are easy and quick.
With the heat last week, it was the perfect afternoon treat! My mother in law was over and we all shared some of this delicious summer berry pavlova. The thing I love most about meringue is how light it is. I really didn’t feel like I had ate a huge piece like I would have done with big piece of cake.

Summer Berry Pavlova

For the pavlova
-

-
Pile half your berries on top of your cream and add the other meringue
-
Spread the leftover cream on top, and pile on those berries
For the sauce
-
Blend berries and sugar together
-
Pour on top to serve
Recipe Notes
The sauce isn't necessary but adds a lot of flavor. If you don't fancy making two layers, cut the recipe in half and only do one layer! Great for a summer time treat!
How To:
As you can see in the pictures, it’s super easy to do. Whip up your egg whites throw them in the oven and make your cream and and throw the berries on top. Fool proof! It’s harder to cut and serve without smashing the pretty layers as you can see, but I did my very best.
Try it out, let me know what you think!
I adore pavlova, as does my husband… Meringues have always scared me a little, but you do make them sound easy 🙂
No don’t be scared they are so easy. I had never done it before and was scared too but honestly nothing to worry about and you are amazing at baking and crafts so you will be great at it by default. lol
Oooo I don’t even like meringue but it looks so good here!!!!!
I can convert you! lol
I am going to print your recipe today and add it to the menu the next time we have a dinner party, I will of course report back! Thank you for sharing #ShareWithMe

Thanks, I almost didn’t share this recipe as it was so late at night the photos were really dark. Glad you liked them still. 🙂
Jenny this looks amazing. I need to bookmark this for when we next have a BBQ, it’ll make a perfect dessert. Thanks for sharing xx
It’s so easy and fast to put together just takes a little time in the oven which is easy too! Yes perfect for summer BBQ. Enjoy
I used to waitress in a pub and our meringue dessert the same as this was one of the most popular. Very yummy!
Can’t beat meringue in any form. Love it. Eton mess, pavlova, meringue pie etc. lol Delicious
It looks delicious! Yum x
Thank you. It was definitely delicious.
That looks yummy! I haven’t had meringue in ages, so this would be lovely to try. Looks so pretty! X
Thank you. I was worried the photos weren’t doing it justice so either everyone is being nice today or it’s truly better looking than I thought. lol
This sounds delish Jenny, a very yummy summery pudding!! xx #sharewithme
Thanks Caroline. It’s a perfect prego craving too! lol
This looks amazing hon! Drooling over here because I can’t have yummy meringues for the foreseeable future 🙁

Ooh looks delicious. Thanks so much for sharing. http://www.mummy2monkeys.co.uk
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It really was !!
I love meringue. I’ve not made a layered one though, so might try this. I think they always looks so special but are deceptively easy.
Yes I completely agree, so easy but everyone thinks meringue and automatically thinks difficult. I love it in all variations too!
Looks lovely, sadly my husband refuses to eat meringue-says it’s like eating cardboard! But I suspect he’s never had a home baked one 🙂
Yes sounds like he is in need of a homemade one. This would be great for him because it’s not crunchy chewy like the store bought its spongy like cake almost. Bet he would change his mind. Let me know. lol
This looks yummy and perfect for the summer. Going to get print this recipe out, thank you Jenny xx
Thats great. Let me know what you think of it. Thanks Michelle.
I am salivating, Jenny! I am definitely going to try to make this, despite never having made a meringue before. Thanks for a great recipe! Also, been meaning to say for ages that I was gutted you weren’t on the Final list. You totally deserved to go through. Love your blog! xx
I had never made meringue before either. It is easy promise. Let me know how you get on and like it or not? Oh thank you hunny I didn’t think I would be as upset as I was but maybe next year!!!
Just wow, it may not look like summer today, but I just love this, looks scrummy xx #sharewithme
I know where has our great weather gone? Boo. But it did brighten up my day as I ate it. hahaha Just rubbing it in a little. You must try it yourself. So easy and fast.
I love pavlova, yours looks lovely. I don’t like making meringues though, the egg whites take so long to do anything
This one is quick. Takes only a few minutes with a beater and it’s done. I have never spent long time on prep for this. And it’s always came out great. Try it. You will be surprised how easy and fast.
oh my days that looks far to good! Well done you!
Thank you. I was excited it turned out. First few times I put too much cream or not even berries. This time perfectionist! lol
Ooh how lovely! With both daughters heading home over the next couple of days I might have an excuse to mame one. Thanks for sharing x
Obviously, the previous comment should read ‘make’ & not mame!
There is always an excuse to make Pavlova. Do and let me know what you think,. It’s a big hit here. I made this one at 10 pm and my mother in law and mr p and I enjoyed it while the kids were in bed last weekend. hahahaha
That looks fantastic and sounds so easy to make. I’m going to keep this recipe and make it for our next family bbq 🙂 #sharewithme
That would be great, I love when people try my recipes. Please let me know what you think of it when you try it.
That looks gorgeous. I have never been brave enough to make a pavlova but they are gorgeous and, now the girls have a longer attention span I might give it a go. YUM!
Be brave, and try it. This one is SOOOO simple! Promise. All my recipes are fast, easy, and made for people like me non pros.
I love any dessert with berries! Pinning for later 🙂
Oh that has just made my day, someone is actually pinning something of mine. I love a good pinterest!!! Wish I had more time I swear I would pin everything in every category. Love it.
Jenny, I’m drooling! (not a good look for an adult!) This looks delicious…..oh & now I’m hungry too!! Beautiful pics too. Xx 🙂
I have some bibs I am reviewing if you need to borrow them. hahaha Test them for me. lol It made me drool a bit too. I was good had one piece and gave the rest away. People love that I like to bake and then be healthy and get rid of it. lol Neighbors especailly, always getting things from me.
I am drooling reading this post it looks amazing and delicious. I am awful at making desserts I would just end up buying one as a replacement if I attempted this
There seems to be a lot of drooling going on here. Love it. Guess my photos aren’t as bad as I thought. Or people are just starving themselves these days. hahaha No promise Tracey you could do it if I can. All my recipes are fast, easy and promise of no complications.
Oh, yum!! Mr M is the pavlova king in our house. I’m passing this on pronto!! The perfect dessert in my opinion! Xx
Thank you. I was excited it turned out. First few times I put too much cream or not even berries. This time perfectionist! lol
i love meringue a lot, the first time ive tried it i was 8-9 and since then i could it it non-stop, now its been a while and your cake reminded me of the beautiful taste, your pictures look yummy)
I am borderline obsessed with anything that has meringue in it. So delicious. Only had it the first time ever when i moved to england. Crazy I know.
That looks delicious and I love meringue, but I don’t like cream.. boo.. I always miss out on desserts that look lovely… although if it possible to scrape the cream off I do that – not very classy in a restaurant though! You’re a talented lady!
Mel, that’s ok just make it without cream and make more of the sauce. You could make the meringue and then pour sauce and berries and layer the other one on top and have it with tea or coffee! it would still be lovely.
Jenny – stop it I am on a diet and I now want this and all the cake in the world. What have you started ha x
I know I actually had to make this, eat one slice and give the rest away as we are on a diet too. Sorry but it was yummy I had to keep looking at it so I shared on the blog instead. hahahaha oops will do a healthier rice chicken recipe next week to make up for it.
Wow, my absolute favourite! I can literally taste how yummy it is from your pictures! x
