Take me back to Scotland when the sun was shining

Take me back to Scotland when the sun was shining and we were staying at the most gorgeous estate with friends and family. Where we could gather, explore and get out when we wanted. Fingers crossed lockdown opens back up for Xmas and that we can find some normal routines in 2021. I miss normality and routine so badly. Kids in sports and gym days and lunch dates and weekends out. We have a lot to catch up on when life resumes. Hope everyone is safe and healthy. Hope everyone is doing ok. Have you all got your Xmas trees up yet? My hubby is usually convinced I am the first one in England to do it the day after thanksgiving (which is Thursday) but this year I think half the country beat me. 😜 #lifecloseup

What a day. TGIF It’s been one of those weeks and I plan on not getting dressed this weekend, enjoying movies and crafts with the kids and soaking up a non working weekend. I don’t have many of them but I am going to make the most of this one. So don’t worry I didn’t disappear forever but it might be next week before I emerge again. lol I plan on doing a big clear out too before Xmas. Do you do this? #AD Getting your children to eat vegetables can be hard. Whether you have a picky eater or are weaning your toddler to a healthy solid food diet it can be so daunting. We have teamed up with See & Eat (@food.unfolded) to introduce vegetables to O in evidence based learning way. See & Eat have created 24 vegetable e-books in six languages to aid you in teaching your children about vegetables. From farm to fork is their motto and we think it’s brilliant. Who wants to eat unknown food on their plate even as an adult we would crinkle our noses if we had never seen something before. This way teaches children how they grow, where they come from, different varieties and how to eat and cook them. See & Eat also have fab resources to take vegetable learning offline too. Coloring pages, memory games and adventure maps to entice them to get to know all their vegetables and be familiar with them so the next time you pile up their plates, they will be more apt and willing to try new ones out. Where do you find motivation? Is it seeing someone

Where do you find motivation? Is it seeing someone on Instagram getting fit or redecorating or starting something new? Is it having more down time at home to gather your thoughts? I would love to know when does everyone think their best ideas up and get to it?? I have so many projects and hands in various baskets but finding it hard to have the time (even though we are in lockdown again) to get anything finished. I often think bad pre-lockdown v1 and say to myself how did I ever do that much everyday 😂😂😂 anyone else feel like this? I still feel too busy and we have no sports, no extra activities, no big weekends and days out to be exhausted from 😂😂😂 But I am definitely wanting to get motivated and do something productive. So I am all ears...this is why I love this community so much we can bounce and share ideas. #lifecloseup

#AD Easy recipes are my favorite kind to make for my family. We have teamed up with @Princes to show you just how easy it is to get your bake off - on! This delicious Summer Fruit Trifle is a sure winner for the festival season.Recipe for Princes Summer Fruit Mini Trifle:
1. Bake a simple sponge cake and cut out with the top of your glass. Or for those lacking time to bake it, grab some pre-baked sponge cake at the store.
2. Pick your favorite flavor of Princes fillings and toppings: Summer Fruit, Apple, Red Cherry and more. Add a chunky layer at the bottom of your dish.
3. Add your sponge cake layer as thick as you desire.
4. Add a layer of whip cream, homemade or straight from a can.
5. One large scoop of custard in the middle.
6. A dollop of your Princes fillings and toppings on top with some chocolate shavings to serve.This only took us four little ingredients to whip up for the whole family. We used individual glass jars for individual trifles so there is no fighting over who gets the last bit in the bowl.There are hundreds of ways you can use Princes Fillings and Toppings in your baking to save time and add delicious flavor!!!#PRINCES #BAKEOFF #BAKING #BAKINGWITHLOVE #bakingwithkids

I will follow you...you will follow me...💙 When I found out I was having a second boy six years after the first, I worried would they bond. Would they be as close as my two older ones who are 20 months apart. Would they find common ground or always be wanting the baby to get out of his stuff. I wanted then to be best buddies and match them the same clothes. And it turns out they are worse than me. The baby even demands he wear same shirt as his older brother and vice versa. They have such a close bond. At first O looked identical to his older brother when he was a baby but lately he finally growing into his own look. It’s definitely been a lot easier the third time around with two older siblings to help me out too. Right now, the family dynamics are so fun to watch. He picked a different sibling to be his go to each day. Which one will he follow today? Boss around today more like! If one won’t do his bidding he will get the other one to do it. I call that one smart cookie 🙃🤪We are back to taking family walks while in lockdown just to get out. Rain or shine and our #previouslygifted @hugo_official matching coats are the perfect winter coat for them to match in style, warmth and comfort. @kids_around 💙And even their matching shirts. Did you see us roasting marshmallows in our new kitchen last weekend on our stories? It’s the perfect little weekend treat for the whole family to enjoy sharing and roasting together. It’s no secret we love @mycreatebox from her savory boxes to her sweet boxes and all her unique holiday special boxes too. This one is perfect for Christmas season! It was lovely to make s’mores at home and her white chocolate sticks to make hot chocolate was to die for! I almost don’t like eating these boxes they are so beautifully displayed but I can’t help it. 😋 Would you share it? Or keep it for after the kids go to bed? 😝 #lifecloseup #prgifted

The trees are nearly naked. Time seems to be flying by this year. Christmas is right around the corner. I can happily say I am all set. Shopping done, house is almost done, furniture that will arrive fingers crossed it will arrive on time, and with the year we have had (everyone has had) I am looking forward to baking up a storm, getting more festive than normal, decorating the house top to bottom the moment Thanksgiving is over (#thanksgivingworldwide join us in celebrating by the way no matter where you live) and maybe we will get a nice layer of snow to make this a white Christmas ahead. Anyone else geared up for the holidays already????. #lifecloseup
