What a crisp sunny day! I love the Fall where the sun can still come out and blaze but the air has a crispy chill to it. One benefit from hubby and I both working from home is being able to take our lunches at the same time together. Or go for a quick walk with the baby together for some fresh air and break from both sitting in the office. I have always worked from home and found it very lonely and hard over the years at times not to have that office banter with the person that sits next to you. It can really play on your mind going all day not speaking to anyone everyday. Now I feel like I have that back. I was worried that it wouldn’t work for both of us sharing a small home office but it’s been an easy transition. And if I am honest really good for us. I love how much I see hubby now. Baby O loves seeing Daddy a lot more too! How are others finding working from home? Do you share an office with your partner? Sundays are for family lounging in pjs, watching far too much tv, for us it’s family swim time too and then coming home and getting warmed up and cozy with snacks. I love a day where we aren’t rushing around. Today was so cold out so we did just that. No more kitchen and playroom or dining room for us for six weeks so we have officially moved everything out and are shut up in the front room together. Little MM’s croup has been flaring up so it was a good day to just rest. How was your Sunday? #lifecloseup

#AD We have found a new fave combo while we have our special family movie nights in with the big kids. Popcorn and Toffifee - which by the way are so delicious. I am absolutely hooked on their crunchy hazelnut in a caramel cup, smooth and creamy nougat, with a drop of rich chocolate. Doesn’t that make you want to drool? Popcorn has always been good for sharing but so is Toffifee sharing boxes and fun to pop out the tray and right into your mouth. The kids thought it was funny when I popped one straight across the room. Oops be careful you don’t want to waste any of these! It was special time together after baby went to bed and I let them stay up a little bit later. They were excited for a new treat to try. Why not try it yourself on the next family game night or movie night? #BigNightInWithToffifee

Happy Friday instagrammers!!! It’s almost the weekend. Today it’s just me and this little guy and who list of painting, diy, and clearing out during his nap time. Hopefully I can get it all done before hubby comes back from holiday today. We have missed him so much and solo parenting is no joke ahaha 🤪 I always like to do a bit of diy or room makeovers while he is away to surprise him when he gets home. 🎉 Then our official kitchen renovations begin full force on Monday. What makes you smile? Is it a new book? Fresh flowers in the house? What are the little things that make your day feel brighter? I am one of those that find happiest in the smallest things or perhaps even the weirdest things like getting everything organized in the hall closet or smashing my to do list for work. Sometimes even just cleaning out my closet and finding some new (old) outfits to wear gets me excited. As you can imagine I am easy to please 🤪🤪 This whole week I have been getting SO much done even though I have been parenting solo for a week while hubby is away and even have an extra baby in tow a few days a week too. Phew! But I have been setting my mind to the mountain admin jobs on my site and playing catch up with emails. It feels great to check those off the list at long last. His little world is constantly changing and I wond

His little world is constantly changing and I wonder now will it ever be the same again. For my older kids they are old enough to remember a time where there wasn’t masks, social distancing and every few weeks no one allowed in their houses but this little one won’t. I do think the world has changed forever in certain ways. Will there always be plastic barriers between us and everyone else? What kind of things will this little one have to grow up in, see, do, and will it be anything like what we were lucky to have growing up. My dad said before he passed away, he was alive at the best time in the world. I think he may just be right. Wonder what he would make of a world pandemic and constantly restrictions lifted and put back on. Life was simple when he was growing up. Life was simple when I was growing up. Can we say that for our children though? Sorry a bit more deep than I normally chat on Instagram but it’s really got me thinking about what is to come? I miss the simple, good old days. Don’t you?

Neutrals ☀️and sunshine go hand in hand. I have a wardrobe of neutrals. Beiges, whites, creams and more! I am drawn to it every time I shop now matter what the season is. I am loving these cozy leggings and oversized sweater from @libertybluff and gifted shoes from @butterflytwists 💗💗💗 they are a fab combo for an Autumnal wear. What colors are you mostly drawn to?

You know that day where the weather just turns fro

You know that day where the weather just turns from one season to another in a day. It’s the day where you feel that crisp coldness in the air and you know Autumn is around the corner. Somewhere this year those days got mixed up along with covid and new rules. We have seen a year of random warmer weather throughout lockdown and even now into September we are still getting days where we can soak it up and get the pool out. We have come out of lockdown only for each week more regulations to be added back. I miss knowing what season it is. I miss knowing what’s up next month. Living in constant uncertainty is so overwhelming. I am sure like most of you - I am so over it. Not that I actually mind how much sunshine we have got this year. In my thirteen years of living here...it’s been great weather. Silver lining I guess right? But I do love Autumn and think we might just get rushed into winter without truly getting to enjoy it. Usually by now we are jumping in the fall leaves with our layers on. Instead we are still lounging around pool side with our shades on. 😎😎 How about you?

The weekend weather looks fantastic yet again...I know I normally knock the English weather but this year has definitely been sunny, warm and allowed us to spend more time at the beach than ever before. We might get one more day at the beach this weekend before the weather turns to winter. One more day to bury ourselves in the sand. Eat on the picnic blanket and attempt to fly that kite again. One more day of sun kissed faces and pockets full of sand when we get home. I love that we live near enough to the beach to jump in the car last minute. Someday I hope to live on the beach or a girl can hope! What are you up to this weekend? It’s all about the horses in our houses at the

It’s all about the horses in our houses at the moment. Just got back from horse riding lessons and this one is stocked from her birthday with horses and stables from Grandma too. I always wanted to have riding lessons growing up. So I will just have to live vicariously through my daughter. All I hear is pretend horse noises coming from her room. 🐴 Oh to be young again and have an imagination that runs wild. Maybe one day I will get my riding lessons. There is still time yet 🐴🤪💗 #lifecloseup
