Halloween is just around the corner and this little devil is loving his costume purely because it’s red! I knew I wouldn’t get him to dress up as in years before he has refused or cried but he is obsessed with the color red now. But now I have the problem of him not wanting to ever take it off! 😩🤪😱 I am hoping he doesn’t cling to it too long after Halloween. It the first year i let all three pick their own costumes and not try to match them. Any of your kids wear costumes 24/7???

We went pumpkin picking at our favorite place @windmillanimalfarm because it’s so much more than just grabbing a pumpkin. MM is totally obsessed with the adorable animals there and this little goat chased her around every side and even stole the bag right out of her hand in the end. 🤪😱 Since the moment she could understand pet doctor that’s what she wanted to be. Every year I ask her the same question and it’s always the same answer despite having allergies to hay, dust and animals she still says even if she has to wear gloves and take medicine she wants 20 goats, 3 ducks, 5 dogs and a handful of horses. 🤪 Sounds like she is going to have an animal farm on her hands guess that means I need to wear gloves and take medicine to visit too 🥰 I will admit the tiny, tiny goats at @windmillanimalfarm will make you want goats too. Today was a lovely Sunday, we started it by all the kids climbing into our bed late and wanting to play family Wordscapes on the iPad and being lazy in our pjs and staying in bed far later than we normally do. And then we took Granny out for a really nice pub lunch only to find the time had changed 😱😂 and we had gone most of the day without even knowing. Which also meant the baby slept till 9am along with the other kiddos and we got the lie in of our life. 🤪🥰🤪 We all couldn’t stop laughing and lucky for us our phones change automatically so we still made our lunch reservation on time and pigged out on delicious food. Phew what a day. Love that we got so much relaxing in too 🤣🤣🤣The sun even came out and we squeezed in a family walk. If only every Sunday could be has calming. How did your weekend go?

Looking ahead to half term and some quiet time wit

Looking ahead to half term and some quiet time with my family. Sadly we had to cancel our half term holiday to Wales 😫 and it’s been a tough time lately. But I want to thank you all for your amazing support, the messages pouring in over the last few days have not just warmed my heart but made me feel not alone at a very heartbreaking time. I have been blown away at how much the online community on here has shown me their love. People I have never met reaching out to offer an ear, love, tips, support and advice. It’s revalidated my faith that there is still good, genuine caring people in this world. I know there is always someone hurting more or having a harder time, I always try to stay strong, pull myself together for my kids and keep focusing on the positive things around me. While I continue to battle my goodbyes to my love ones this week I will also resume posting happy, bubbly content because that’s life as a family - it’s a mix of all of it isn’t it??? So some days I might pour my heart out and some days I might babble on and on about Pumpkin hummus because it’s something good to focus on. Thank you so so much for your amazing messages, DM, comments and love during this difficult time. You all rock! 🎸 Who says online friends aren’t really friends? #lifecloseup

Today I said my last goodbyes to my friend who was taken from us unfairly at age 39 years old. I cuddled her baby thinking how can this be? We gathered with a small few cause Covid has prevented us a bigger one. I was struck by more bad news that my eldest brother is in trauma unit fighting his own battle with cancer in his brain. I feel numb with all the pain that cancer has brought to my life. I feel like grief is never going to leave me cause just when I think I am coming to terms with one loved one leaving me another is in their place fighting for their life. The big C scares me more than anything and tonight I snuggled my own babies petrified for what the future holds and trying to explain to them what cancer is and why we keep having to say goodbye to those we love so dearly. It’s a very sad and difficult time and with covid it’s making saying goodbye that much hard with family and friends. 💔💔💔

Thought I would play a little game.. getting us all chatting and interacting. I am one of those people that love to get to know other people’s quirts. 🤪 I also been known to be call weird on a few occasions myself. So come on... I will tell you mine if you tell me yours. 🥰🥰🥰.1. When I first get out of bed, I have to instantly make it. (With the hundred one various sizes pillows and cushions just right).
2. When I have a milkshake I have to have skinny french fries to dip in it. Has to be vanilla not chocolate.
3. I hate pickles. Or pickled anything it makes me think of sweaty sports shoes. 😝
4. If you move things in my house, I will know and I can’t sit and watch tv until they are moved back. My cousin once came to visit me and showed up before I got off work and rearranged all the shelves in my house 😱😱Took me half sec to notice.
5. If I am home alone I stay up way past midnight watching box sets but if everyone is home I somehow get tired and need my bed by 10pm lol 😂
6. I can bake and do nibbles well but I can’t cook meat very good. I always over do it in fear of undercooking it. Anyone else?
7. I take everything out of my closet once a year, clean the shelves and try everything on and only out back what I will wear. Then for a month I seem to have these new old clothes to wear again. 👍🏻
8. I make 15 pumpkin pies every year for family and friends but no one in my immediate family even like it so I actually don’t make one for us. 😂
9. I take hundreds of photos of the same thing before I usually settle on the first one I took to share lol 😝 Hubby says he can’t tell the difference, oh but I can!
10.I stuff all our shoes with dryer sheets to make them smell good.
11. If I like a top I buy it in every color 🤷‍♀️
12. I have yet to find a pair of shoes that don’t hurt my feet - flats or heels. 🤬
13. When I am mad, I scrub the house like a crazy person. When I am sad, I scrub the house like a madman. When I am happy, I think about scrubbing and find something more fun to do. 🤓How about you??? Come on weird food combos? Funny quirts? Any bad habits?

Came in from our make shift kitchen in the garage to find these two playing dress up, snuggling and watching tv. She is mama number two for this little tot. It was the sweetest thing as they didn’t know I had walked in and she was stroking his back and talking about the show they were watching. It was a sweet moment to sneak upon and I love when I see my kids loving each other so much. I hope their bond stays forever strong. 💗
