Lego Marshmallow Pops

a chocolate-ly, chewy treat on a stick
Author Let's Talk Mommy

Ingredients

  • One pack Long Cake Pop White Sticks
  • One bag Large Marshmallows
  • One bag Mini Marshmallows
  • One bag Candy Melts Yellow
  • One Black Edible Marker Pen
  • all ingredient can be bought at Walmart in USA, or Hobbycraft in the UK

Instructions

  1. Depending on how many you want to make: take out equal amounts of mini marshmallows, large marshmallows, sticks, and put the rest aside.
  2. Cut your mini marshmallows in half for the top
  3. Push the stick into the large marshmallows and allow it to go all the way through enough for the half mini marshmallow to fit on top too
  4. You can dip just the top of the stick in melted candy melts first and then push stick through large marshmallow and mini half marshmallow be sure to let harden so it doesn't slide down stick when it's stands up or while you are dipping it
  5. I didn't do this as we made them and used right away for the party but if you make ahead of the party probably better to do this step so the marshmallows stay on the top of the stick when you dip them and stand them up
  6. Now that you have your large marshmallow on the top of the stick with half mini marshmallow on the tip you have your lego head and it's ready to dip
  7. Melt candy melts in a small pan on the stove on medium stirring constantly
  8. (if you haven't done already for the above alternative method)
  9. Dip your lego marshmallow heads slowly sideways and roll in yellow candy melts to coat
  10. Tap the stick on the edge of the pan to let extra chocolate dip off and stand up to dry
  11. I used a floral foam base that florist use for flowers to stick them in to dry
  12. Using the black edible marker pen draw Lego smiley faces (or more artist faces if you can)
  13. Have your kids built a lego rectangle base and using loose legos inside, place your finished Lego Marshmallow Pops to display for the table
