Sloppy Joes with Beef & Beans

Ingredients

  • 500 g minced Beef hamburger in USA
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 1/2 bell pepper red, yellow or green diced
  • 2 cans Heinz beans pork & beans in USA
  • 1/4 cup Grated mozzarella cheese
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Saute onions in frying pan, with a touch of butter or oil if you prefer
  2. When they start to caramelize, add the peppers and minced beef
  3. Cook until complete brown at medium temperature
  4. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste
  5. Drain any excess grease
  6. Add your beans to your drained, cooked beef mixture
  7. Continue to heat on medium, until it's hot and your beans start to crack open

Recipe Notes

I prefer to use Extra Lean Beef and I never have any to drain so it makes it easier and healthier. Also don't cook it too long or it will become too thick.
