frosting without the cake
Combine the sugar, milk, butter in a saucepan
Cook over medium heat, continuously stirring until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved
Bring to a hard boil for 2 mins
Remove from heat and cool slightly
Using electric mixer, beat frosting until no longer glossy
Add pecans and vanilla and mix until frosting is a thick, spreading consistency
On parchment paper, spread frosting thin using a spatula
Place in the fridge for 2-5 minutes to harden and then cut with sharp knife into bite pieces.
