Florida
If you love rollercoasters and all things Disney then Florida should certainly be on your list. There are plenty of Disney destinations around the world but Orlando is by far the most popular one, they had over 17.5 million visitors last year alone. Just down the road you also have Universal, home of the minions so you could also incorporate that into your trip. Don’t be afraid to head out and explore when you are away. There will always be more to see than the resort you are staying on.
France
If sport is more your thing then France holds a tennis tournament each year. From May to June you can watch your favourite players battle it out in the french open, also known as Roland Garros. While you are in France you could take a trip up to the top of the Eiffel Tower and take in the sites that way, the view from the top is outstanding. France has beautiful architecture so make sure you have that camera ready to snap pictures everywhere.
United Kingdom
This should always be on your bucket list as it really is like nothing else in the world. One minute you could be wandering around in glorious sunshine, the next you can get rained on for five days straight. England has so many places just waiting for you to explore, from the west end of London to the safari park in the highlands of scotland. Make sure you do your research and find out what you want to do while you are visiting.
Iceland
Iceland has so many things going for it, if you are wanting to visit a geothermal spa that has healing properties then make sure Iceland is on your list. There are plenty of places to see the Northern lights but Iceland is one of the best. The colours are so wonderful and they really do light up the night sky. There are also waterfalls and glaciers galore so make sure you are ready to explore.
Finland
Traveling around Christmas time? Then you must go and visit Santa in Lapland. Santa and his reindeers will be so glad to see you and hear all about what you want for Christmas. You can also check out the northern lights in Finland, bet you didn’t know that Iceland wasn’t the only place for this. Northern Lapland is the best place to see these, so you could see Santa and the lights in the same place. Finland also has an abundance of lakes that look beautiful in person.
Thailand
From golden beaches to delicious food, Thailand must be visited at least once. Many people simply go to Thailand to see what all the fuss is about, they soon come back when they realise it is such a majestic place. You can go hiking in the forests and then chill out on one of the many beaches. If you enjoy diving then they even have an island dedicated to this. Be sure to check it out, you won’t be disappointed. Thailand also has a super fun nightlife, from bustling night clubs to dainty little bars. Speak to the locals who will point you in the right direction when it comes to going out.
Australia
On the other side of the world, quite literally, you have a wonderful place called Australia. If you can overlook the massive spiders and snakes then you will certainly have a great time. Head to Sydney and visit the impressive opera house that took fourteen years to complete, it was only meant to be four! If you take a trip over to Lucky Bay in Western Australia you can sunbathe on a beach with Kangaroos, how amazing is that? Your friends will be so jealous when you take a selfie with a kangaroo and show it off to them.
New Zealand
Are you a fan of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit? If so, then New Zealand should really be at the top of your bucket list. From vast landscapes to the cutest wildlife, this place has it all. New Zealand has everything and more including lakes, forests, mountains, beaches, and glorious cities. One minute you could be walking through the forest, while the next you are chilling in a coffee shop. What more could you want?
New York
Lastly, if you love shopping and being amongst the hustle and bustle of a lively state then New York is the place to be. This is the most populated place in America with close to 8 million people living here alone. You can now understand why people don’t really get anywhere by road in New York, you can however take the subway. Make sure that if you are visiting New York you also visit the less touristy areas and attractions. If you are in New York for a break then be sure to see a show on Broadway, there really is nothing quite like it. It can be such a magical experience.
