Hi! I’m Jenny (aka Mommy)
I am 36 years old, a mom to three bouncing kids and living as an expat American in the UK. I moved from my beautiful home on the west coast of America 13 years ago, to be with my British husband, Mr. P.
I wrote my first novel called When Love & Culture Collide, six years ago now and you can get it from Amazon here.
I have always wanted to write novels and fell into blogging as a way to share our lives with all my family back home.
I am a huge foodie and love home interiors. When I am not baking in the kitchen or redecorating something in my home, we are traveling as a family.
ABOUT MY BLOG
I write a lifestyle and parenting blog. It’s not one or the other. I share all our family adventures, milestones and experiences but I also share my passions too. My love for food styling is no secret here on LTM and I could spend hours styling a recipe which leads me into my passion for photography whether its my baking or the kids, it’s something I am forever trying to improve on snapping. We love to travel the world with our kids and show them various cultures and countries. We are so grateful we can do this. When we are home you can catch me redecorating or revamping something at all times. I love changing our living space. Everything else is just life that I want to share with you all. I hope you enjoy.

THE FAMILY
We are a family of five now. My lovely husband puts up with my camera in his face pretty good as much as the kids do. He is a great golf player and lover of the outdoors. We have two beautiful school age kids, Buba who is 9 years old, Missy Moo who is 7 years old and Baby O is 2 years old.
They keep us busy with their never ending energy. They also love the outdoors, swimming, biking, and kicking the soccer ball around. We live in a lovely neighborhood near Preston in the Northwest of England. Both kids are in school now and loving to learn. With a baby, a lot has been changing in the LTM household and this blog will continue to evolve with our family.

So lucky. I can never find a British guy. They’re so hard to find here. I just want to hear that accent every day.
sadly after 6 years I can’t hear it anymore its just his voice. haha I found mine in mexico. lol
Thanks for the tip. 🙂 I figured after a while you probably couldn’t hear it anymore almost like having the same painting on a wall in the same spot for years–you don’t really see it anymore or realize it’s there.
Thanks for following Little Steps! 🙂 Looking forward to exploring your blog too. All the best, D.

Hi Jenny,
It is really nice that you revealed so much about yourself on this page and if feels like I know you a little more now. Well done to you for writing a book, I am impressed! The natural shot of you and your family is beautiful. I love photos that have been taken on the spur of the moment rather than studio-like shots. Your children’s CVs are really quirky! x Mel
Thank Mel, glad you enjoyed reading it. Yes, get yourself a copy of my book, would love to know what you think of it. I am an open book always have been. I am not one for secrets they are boring. lol 😉

Ahhh thank you so much hunny yes it definitely is nice to meet another America. Where you from? Definitely tweet me we can miss America together. Lol hope you enjoy my blog. Thanks hunny.
came to your blog because someone on Twitter posted a link to your SnoozeShade competition but it was your name that caught my eye, I’m living in England but am originally from Finland and Ripatti is very Finnish name 🙂
Haha Yes it is! My grandparents came over from Finland to live in America. I have only been living in England for about 7 years now. Small world!
Moi! Such a pleasure to discover another Finnish mum living in the UK. DO you speak Finnish?
*mum blogger 🙂
No my Dad did and taught us when we were little but I don’t remember any of it now. boo
Yay another American expat in the UK.! saw you did a bit about Alton towers and I had to read about you to see where you’re living. Quick question, do you ever get used to all the rain and the mud in the winter? I’ve only been here about 10 months so far.
I have been here eight years and NO you never get used to it. lol We also live where its super windy so it’s even worse. lol I am glad to have another expat American on this side. Welcome.
