4 Pillars Of Self-Confidence

Being self-confident is one of those things that might be easier to achieve than you think. It is probably best thought of as a skill rather than a quality that you either have or don’t have. Because it’s a skill, that means you can develop it, practice it and make it something you are good at. So this is vital if you want to make sure that you are doing everything in your power to improve your love of yourself. In this post, we’ll look at four of the main pillars of self-confidence you may want to be aware of and work on in particular.

Competence

It is much easier and more natural to believe in yourself when you already know what you’re doing. That’s why being competent in something is one of the best ways to feel this way, and it’s the kind of thing that you are going to find really important to bear in mind all in all. Competence is something you build on by learning, practising, playing, and improving. It requires that you fail in order to improve. But the more competent you become, the more naturally confident you are going to feel as well.

Integrity

You might be wondering exactly what integrity is, but essentially it’s about acting in a way that aligns with your values. This requires that you actually sit down and think long and hard about what your values are. Once you are clear on that, the much harder part is making sure that you are acting in a way that reflects them. But if you manage that at least most of the time, you are probably going to feel so much more confident in yourself as a result, and it’s amazing how effective that can be.

Appearance

This is not a case of trying to look how other people want you to look – it’s quite the opposite. You want to try and make sure that you are looking in a way which makes you feel good about yourself, and that means doing it for yourself. There might eb changes you want to make, whether it’s a style change or wondering can saw palmetto help with hair loss and using that. Whatever it is, just make sure that you are getting your appearance to a place you are happy with. That is always going to help your confidence levels significantly.

Self-Acceptance

Perhaps the most important of all is self-acceptance. This is not a resigned kind of acceptance, but a much more loving and joyful way of accepting yourself, and it’s the kind of thing that is really going to be hugely important for you to try and practice. If you are keen to do this, you should find that you are going to have a much better sense of yourself and that your confidence will naturally develop alongside this as well. So learning to accept yourself as you are could be the real key in all of this.
