Thankfully, you don’t have to venture far to see some of the world’s most amazing creatures. In fact, throughout America, there are some fantastic safari parks that will provide you and the family with a truly memorable adventure. After all, who doesn’t want to get up close and witness an array of wildlife in the flesh?

In America, while it isn’t the natural environment for many of the animals housed in the country’s safari spots, they’re being well looked after and receive the utmost care thanks to accreditation from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Of course, not every safari destination in America has the backing of the AZA, but we’re only focussing on the ones that do in this article. From the type of gorilla featured in Donkey Kong to the Lions and hyenas in the Lion King, some of the planet’s much-loved creatures can call the US their home. They’re ready and waiting for visitors, too.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at some ideal safari destinations for you and the family throughout America. Make no mistake about it, if you want to create memorable adventures for you and your loved ones, then a safari is a surefire way of doing it.

Safari West is located in the heart of California’s wine country

While you won’t have enough time in the day to enjoy some wine tasting alongside your safari visit, Safari West certainly does give you the option of doing that should you wish to. Located in California, this AZA-accredited safari is a great experience. Nicknamed the “Sonoma Serengeti” thanks to its huge population of animals from the famous protected area in northern Tanzania, you’re likely to see some of earth’s most amazing creatures during your visit. Whether it’s in the day or in the evening with a nocturnal experience, you’re likely to witness the type of buffalo that are featured in the online game Buffalo Blitz Live, as well as wildebeest, oryx, gazelle, and a whole lot more. Games like Buffalo Blitz might show us images of the iconic American animals like buffalo, but there is nothing like experiencing the real thing. In terms of creating an unforgettable family adventure, Safari West most definitely has you covered.

Pine Mountain Wild Animal Safari is home to an array of animals

Located in Georgia, Pine Mountain Wild Animal Safari, which also has another sister park, houses around 120 different species of animals and offers an up-close safari experience that is hard to better. Spanning across 250 acres, the park has a number of loveable creatures, from wallabies and lizards to wolves and lemurs. The great thing about Pine Mountain Wild Animal Safari is that safari-goers can rent a vehicle for the journey or bring their own car, making it a hassle-free experience on the whole. All you need to do is turn up, sit back in your car if that’s your preference, and then cruise through an amazing animal-filled environment. You might be able to feed some of the smaller residents, too.

If a Texan safari park is your preference, then look no further than Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. Located in San Antonio, the park is particularly popular with giraffe lovers due to its conservation efforts, as well as looking after around 500 animals from 40 different animal species, all of which are either endangered, native or exotic. What separates Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch out from any other safari park experiences, though, is that it offers an educational journey as you venture through the ranch. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes and highly knowledgeable staff, this Texan option is well worth considering.

Other options include African Safari Wildlife Park (Ohio) and Wildlife Safari (Oregon).
