Rice Krispy Stars

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 cups large marshmallows or 4 cups of miniature marshmallows
  • 6 cups of rice krispies cereal
  • star cookie cutter small
  • 10 strawberries
  • 20 blueberries
  • 10 extra miniature marshmallows
  • 10 cake pop sticks
  • ribbon to decorate

Instructions

Rice Krispy Star

  1. Melt butter in a pan, on low
  2. Add marshmallows, stir
  3. Remove from heat
  4. Add cereal
  5. Spray casserole dish with nonstick spray
  6. Press mixture in casserole dish with a spatula
  7. Let cool then cut into stars with a star cookie cutter

Putting them on the stick

  1. Cut bottom off strawberry and gentle push cake pop stick through the bottom of the strawberry
  2. Gently add a blueberry
  3. Then one miniature marshmallow
  4. Gently add last blueberry
  5. Then the rice krispy star on top
  6. Tie ribbon under strawberry to complete the look

Recipe Notes

Make sure your rice krispy stars are completely cooled or they will just fall off the cake pop stick. You also could use skewers instead of cake pop sticks, they are easier to slide the fruit onto and stick into the stars. Be careful though with children and skewers, they are sharp.
