Do you know how much we love a good crunchie bar? It tends to show up on top of our Crunchie Birthday Cakes and our new favorite Crunchie Chocolate Meringue Nest too. That won’t be the last place you find it here on Let’s Talk Mommy. I have some amazing Christmas desserts bursting with crunchie bars too.
Yes, I have uttered the C word in September. It has to be done. I have some exciting new recipes coming for you all for the holidays so keep watch.
But for now, let’s dive into this Crunchie Chocolate Meringue Nest recipe. It’s so easy to make. It’s so pretty to display for family and friends coming over and the most delicious combination of smooth vs crunchie flavors.
Crunchie Chocolate Meringue Nest
a crunchy and smooth combination bursting with honeycomb and smooth chocolate
- 1/2 can Chocolate Custard
- 6 Walkers Meringue Nest store bought or make your own
- 1 cup Whip Cream store bought or make your own
- 2 tsp Coffee extract mix this in your whip cream
- 1 large banana
- 1 Crunchie Bar
Lay out your store bought meringue nest and scoop about 2 tablespoons of chocolate custard in the middle.
Fold in your coffee extract in to your whip cream. Scoop a dollop of whip cream in the middle of the chocolate custard on top.
Slice your banana in small, thin slices and add two pieces on top of your whip cream.
Cut your Crunchie Bar up with a knife and sprinkle on top of your banana.
I like making these and bringing them with me when I go to a friend’s house for a coffee and a catch up. Nothing gets the chatter going more than something sweet and tasty to share.
You can wrap them in clear wrap and a ribbon for a foodie present too. I love gifting treats during the holidays.
Just be careful you don’t make them on your own. You might just eat them all before you get a chance to share your special treat with someone else. Paired with a hot coffee or tea I can’t promise you won’t have more than one!
