Me & Mine {September}

astley park family portraits
We were ever so happy to find a new local park so close to our home that is absolutely stunning and has so much to offer. I can’t believe we didn’t know about it three years ago when we first had Buba. That’s the problem with only moving in two weeks before you give birth. Doesn’t give you time to get to know your area before the life of parenthood takes over. Well we have found it, our gorgeous new watering hole for the kids.
Buba is loving…
The swans and ducks at the new park
along side kicking his soccer ball all over the big open fields it has.
He also can very easily want to stay amongst the trees,
walking the trails all day until his hunger takes over,
then it’s off to our new favorite cafe at the park for a bite to eat.

Missy Moo is loving…
The fresh air and the freedom to run as far away as possible,
or spend hours on the stone steps, going up and down again.
She is also mesmerised by the swans and ducks,
but really would rather swim with them than watch them.

Daddy is loving…
The Ryder Cup and watching Europe beat USA!
He is also loving the miniature golf with Buba at the park,
and no more swim lessons on Sundays,
which are now left for family days out!

Mommy is loving…
Buba starting preschool and her one on one girlie time with Missy Moo.
Also loving that Missy Moo has started nursery one day a week,
so Mommy can concentrate on working from home.
Most of all, it’s Fall, nothing more cozier and loving than Fall.

As a family of four we are always on the go and September really was no different. In fact, I think it’s our busiest month this year (in the UK). It seems if we aren’t doing kids birthday parties, it’s adult friend’s birthdays and christening to attend, scheduling school viewings has started, and Missy Moo starting nursery one day a week along side our normal music, swimming, spanish classes, each week really does fly by in seconds. astley park family portraits
I love as the kids get older, they get more independent and want to explore more. We all love the great outdoors and I can’t wait to see all the many adventures we will take over our lifetime together.

  1. Ah these are so beautiful Jenny, my favourites of yours so far. You have such a gorgeous little family, you really do. And the park does look beautiful from what I can see in the background. We have some pretty ones near us too, but none with a fountain, it looks lovely. xx

    • Thanks Katie. I really need to practice with my camera more. But we had such a great time at this new park and I am excited to visit again and really use the setting more. Thanks for stopping by and commenting hunny. So sweet of you.

  3. Ahhh lovely shots hun! Super cute. I am loving the preschool mornings with just my boy too. The walking up and back is taking a bit of used to but we seem to be getting into a bit of a routine and we do baking and things together in the afternoon whilst the boy sleeps. Hope to see you at tots or Mumsnet! x

    • Thanks hunny. I know I am so sad as I didn’t know when mums net was and we already have plans. You always know more than me what’s going on. Tots??? Is this another one I have missed out on too??? Do tell? Hahaha

  4. Looks like a lovely place Jenny!! You guys are such a picture perfect family!!
It’s nice that swim lessons are not on the weekend any more so you can spend the day just for family time instead!

    • I know we were so relieved to move it to another day because it was in the middle of sundays and that just gets hard to do anything with naps included. lol Thank you so much lovely. Its a great park. Wish the photos were more clear to be honest. A bit blurry but great memories made.

  5. Beautiful family photos. You are so good at keeping records of everything! I must make sure we take more photos where I am included otherwise my gorgeous children will think they grew up without a mummy… but I so much prefer being behind the camera rather than in front of it!

Fab that you found a new park to go to. This summer, I found 2 new parks in our local area (we have been here 8 years!) and I love having the choice when taking the kids out. Managed 7 days out in 7 different parks the 1st week of the summer holidays!

    • Ya we are spoiled with choice around here, we truly are and they are so beautiful. Yes do take more photos. I am trying to be better about being in them instead of on the other side of it. lol Because I was worried bout hte same thing.

  6. Oh what a beautiful little park, and such gorgeous happy photos of the four of you! I think discovering more of our local area has been one of the big perks of motherhood – before the children arrived I worked full time a half hour train ride away and weekends were always busy with chores and seeing friends, it’s only been in the last few years that I’ve found out where everything is locally!

    • I know we have so many places to explore and go see. Find fun things to do with the kids. Isn’t it funny time just flies when we are working and then we have kids and wonder where to take them locally. lol Thank you so much.

    • Thank you hunny. Although these are a bit blurry which made me sad! I should have brought my tripod with me but Granny took them instead. ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol Shaking a bit. Bless her. It was a great day out though.

    • Thank you sweets. I wouldn’t say that the kids never want to smile at the camera unless it’s a selfie and they can see themselves. Lol so vain. Hahaha

    • Thanks hunny. I really want to visit this park more and take my big camera out and test it. I need so much more practice. I am not good. Plus I just got a tripod so should be easier than asking shaking strangers to do it and hope for the best. haha

  13. O wow that looks like a lovely park, it’s so nice to have somewhere to explore so close to hand. I love autumn too, and am fully expecting many leaf pictures and conkers to be filling the house very soon. Along with the 20 pumpkins on the allotment I am not quite sure what to do with! x

  14. These photos are so lovely Jenny, such a beautiful setting and you all look so happy. We’ve started viewing schools now too; so scary to think our babies will be at school before we know it. And I’m also loving a bit of girly time in the mornings, as is my little lady who is flourishing with that extra bit of attention. x
