The kids really seem to be growing up fast these last few weeks. Missy  Moo is almost walking which is so very exciting not just for her and Mommy, but Buba has been in awe of the whole process. Every time she stands up on something, he is there to reach out and hold her hand to guide her.

He is fascinated by her new abilities and you can tell she is too. Don’t get me wrong, we still have lots of pushing over, pulling, and attempts at sitting on top of his sister. She has finally found her voice and is getting some much deserved pay back. This is reality after all. As much as it seems like I sugar coat it all, we are normal. We have the toddler tantrums that his sister is touching his toys. We have the baby screaming matches to not touch things that she shouldn’t. Both of my kids however amazing and loving they are, they are still normal baby and toddler human beings. siblingscollagejuneHere is a little ring-around-the-rosie with Daddy in the hallway. A sweet moment I heard from the kitchen while cooking and ran to have a peak, capturing the moment. There is nothing better than that sweet sound of laughter in the house. It fills my heart with pure joy.

This month has been so extremely busy and I fear that’s just the start of the summer and how it is going to go until the weather turns cold again. We saw the celebrations of Missy Moo’s Christening & birthday party and Buba’s 3rd birthday is coming up next with a huge trip to the west coast of America for two months. It will be September before we return and the summer will have seemed to have flown by.

I never thought life would get so busy and I think that’s why it flies by so fast. So I am glad that there are moments like this above, to sit back listen and watch my kids play and have fun together. That’s what life is all about the special little moments together!

  1. Jenny, I think you’ve just described pretty much every toddler relationship. I don’t think there’s a single home that doesn’t see the occasional tantrum and bickering. How would the learn to share and get along without them? Cute, cute photos though and Missy Moo looks like she’s almost ready to run 🙂

  2. Lovely post and photos, my two are exactly the same, best friends one minute and screaming and fighting the next 🙂 xx

  3. Aww our’s are similar this month Jenny. Isn’t it wonderful watching them now the babies are nearly walking? LL is so nearly there and Mads is just adorable with her, it’s lovely to see. Gorgeous photos of your pair, and I think that sometimes iPhone photos are best as they truly capture the moment. x

  4. I couldn’t agree more my lovely. They both are so close to walking I love it. Sometimes it’s better to have the iPhone than nothing!! It’s easy to capture great moments fast!!! Hard as they blur when the kids move!! Lol xo

  5. I think she is finally nearly there. When she does she will be off!! Lol oh yes I was not naive to think it wouldn’t eventually happen. I have 7 siblings myself. I know the reality of siblings all too well! Hahahaha

  6. Oh yes siblings – so happy one moment together and then furious at each other the next!

  7. How exciting that she is almost walking 🙂
I love these photos natural and in the moment xx

  8. Thanks Kelle, I am struggling this week with no wifi so it had to be on my iphone photos. But sometimes those are the best moments captured.

  9. Ya, I am fully prepared for all the stages of siblings to come out in this house. I have seven siblings so I know the score! lol

  10. Toddler tantrums and baby screaming are all part of the norm with having children. But sweet moments like the one you have captured are magical and so beautiful to see x

  11. Thanks Katy. Couldn’t agree more! I have plenty of sibling myself so I know what I have to look forward to but never imagined seeing them so loving would melt my heart so much.

  12. Aw, such a sweet photo lovely. I love reading about your two as they are so close in age to mine. How exciting that Missy Moo is nearly walking. And I know what you mean about the older sibling being fascinated by acheivements. We have the same at our place. so so so cute! xx

  13. Jenny, they are adorable! Look at the determined little face walking like a big girl 🙂 how exciting that you’re off on a big trip home xx

  14. The sound of children laughing- especially children together, is one of the best in the world! So glad you were able to snatch the pics.

  15. Thanks. It was an adorable to capture. Just wish the hallway had more light. They were a bit grainy. But you can still see their big smiles.

  16. awww such a sweet post and so nice that he is trying to help his little sister. You are going to have an amazing time in America. I bet the time flies by though xx

  17. Missy Moo almost walking, how did that happen already? Can’t believe they’re both growing up so fast!

Have a fabulous holiday Jenny, can’t wait to read all about it.

  18. it’s brilliant that they get on so well, i unfortunately dont remember much from my childhood no surprise as its 8 year gap between me and my sister

  19. Ah Jenny, you’re so right, it’s such a lovely sound to hear your children laughing and you’re not sure why – impossible not to sneak a peek. Your trip sounds awesome! I am very jealous! Looking forward to seeing you next week!! Jess xx

  20. Thank you Michelle, I know I can’t wait to see all my family and friends and watch the kids play all the places I used to play as a kid too.

  21. Oh bless you. I know how that is with some of my siblings are 12 and 14 years older than me but I do have one brother that is close in age and it was always nice to share memories with. I love watching my two do the same.

  22. EEek next week! It has come so quick. Can’t wait to meet you too. I am very excited for our upcoming trip. Can’t wait to show my kids where I grew up and have them play in the places I did as a kid.

  23. How sweet that Bubba should be helping Missy Moo take her first steps. Watching my children love & teach each other so much is one of my favourite things about being a mum. x Mel

  24. Such a sweet post J, & as i said earlier in the week on IG, those pictures are just too cute. You have such a beautiful, happy family! 🙂 Hugs…Oh I can wait to give you a real life Squeeze next week!! XX

  25. Eeek me too. Can’t believe how fast it has come along too! I am really looking forward to it. Thank you so much Katrina that is so sweet!

  26. It really is a great thing to be able to watch them learn and grow together but also to love and help each other. Great mommy moment indeed! Thanks Mel.

  27. Yes and no. Need to baby proof the house more. I never did it as Buba wasn’t an explorer but this one. Completely. lol but I am excited. Off to clarks Sunday to get her first shoes!

  28. Lovely post, beautifully written and very true. 2 months in America, you are so lucky! #sharewithme

  29. Oh bless them! Mine are a similar gap as you know but a little older. We often have the disagreements over toys. And it’s worse now the boy shouts “MINE!” at the top of his lungs. I love to see them play with Daddy’s. They are so vital. And jel of USA!!!! xxx

  30. It’s funny when you realise you’ve gone from having one child and a baby to two children. Your daughter will probably be bossing her brother about all over the place before you know it. He will probably love it though!

  31. Wow Jenny, I think the moment they first stand up is the one when it really seems like they have grown up overnight! Glad to hear I’m not the only one with ‘normal’ (special) children! They are about to have the holiday of their lives aren’t they?! What an awesome summer hon! X

  32. Can’t beat natural photos – I think it’s lovely being able to capture a true moment. You can tell he’s really happy by her new skill! Also nothing can beat your child/rens laughter #ShareWithMe

  33. My eldest has just been on a 1 week school trip, the youngest only grudgingly admitted that he missed her. Couldn’t wait to play when she got back though (well, until they started bickering).

  34. Aw how exciting for her to be finding her feet, this must feel like such a major change and suddenly like she’s growing up! It’s so sweet she has her big brother to guide her along the way, they look like they have a very special bond xx

  35. I love those moments when you hear laughter (and commotion!) and you just HAVE to see what’s happening. It’s those moments when it doesn’t matter and what you were doing will wait. Because moments like these in your post are truly precious and will wait for no one. And neither should they x

  36. Just wish the house had more light so they weren’t always grainy. but it still captured the moment and that’s all that really matters you are so right.

  37. I know. That’s how I feel. Like she has aged too much in just a week. Almost like I made it happen because we had her bday early. hahaha It’s off now. It won’t be long before she figures it out.

  38. I know I was just thinking that the other day, I have no more baby it’s two toddlers NOW!!! Cross your fingers for me. hahahah

  39. Oh yes I know this all too well. I have a huge family full of bickering all the time still to this day but we are all still inseparable too.

  40. I love the whole that’s MINE no it’s MINE. I alawys say to them both it’s everyone’s. Nothing is only YOURS!!! lol Then it back fires when I tell them it’s Mommy’s. hahahahaha

  41. Thanks Sian, laughter I think is the best medicine!! I love laughing it always makes me so happy and positive and when I hear my kids doing it together it’s even more precious.

  42. Oh yes Buba really is so fascinated that his sister has new skills each week. lol Bless him. A bit confused too. They are fun to watch together.

  43. Thank you. I am a beginner but trying to learn to take better photos, better angles and lighting. Hard when you have two moving targest in opposite directions. lol

  44. Oh bless them – they do look so cute together but I know just what you mean about the normal sibling balance of adoration and frustration!! It’s going to be amazing the changes you’ll see over the next few weeks and months as she finds her feet!

  45. They look so happy and loving together, it is lovely. I hope you all have a great summer break #sharewithme
