Brighten Up Mother’s Day with Coloured Envelopes

Last updated on November 19th, 2023 at 12:19 am

Mother’s Day is fast approaching the UK, and while I am very lucky to get two Mother’s Days as the USA’s Mother’s Day isn’t until May I still get very excited to get my own Mother a special gift. My two little ones are not quite old enough to spoil me yet but I am never too old to spoil my Mother and tell her just how much she means to me. When we are together on this special day I get her a little present and some chocolate in true Mother’s Day fashion but I always spend time picking out the card. One that will signify just what she has done for me, and how she continues to support me in my life even as a grown adult.

This year I am taking that extra step by creating something truly unique and attention-grabbing! It may be all about the card and it’s emotional poem within but I have always been one for the little details. While the stores continue to provide an envelope to go with their cards they are either pink or white for Mother’s Day and this year I want something creative and vibrant!

Brighten Up Your Mum's Mother's Day with Coloured Envelopes

So when you are picking up your Mother’s Day card this year why not do the same and bedazzle her with something different! Here are two tips for the little details that won’t go unnoticed.

1. Choose your card first

The message you will give to your mother on Mother’s Day will most likely be contained on or in the card you give her, so it’s important that you spend some time and effort on selecting something with meaning. For instance, if your mother has a particular hobby, use that as a theme for the card you buy. She may have a love of dogs or cats, in which case you can buy her a card that depicts her favourite type.

It’s important to remember that a bespoke card can send the most powerful message possible. There are card printing specialists who will take a photo and make it into a personal greetings card. You can then add your own message or verse; something that means something very personal to you both. However, there is nothing stopping you from visiting an arts and craft store and buying the materials to make a card of your own.

2. Create a lasting first impression with coloured envelopes

As important as your choice of Mother’s Day card is, that won’t be the first thing your mother sees when you hand her it on the day. She is going to see the envelope that holds the card, so it’s a good idea to go the extra mile when it comes to selecting the right one. Coloured envelopes can create the mood for the day, as they are available in a range of bright and vivid colours. Not only that, they come in a range of textures, shapes and sizes, so you won’t have any trouble finding the right envelope for the occasion.

If you look at most of the envelopes available in stores, you will notice that a great many of them are pink or white. However, your mother may have a favourite colour, or she may not like pink and white. Opting to buy a coloured envelope from a specialist retailer gives you the opportunity to tailor a Mother’s Day surprise based on her own tastes. It is also possible to have a heartfelt message printed on your envelope, which could truly set your card apart from the millions that will be given to mothers all over the UK this year.

Mother’s Day is your chance to tell your mum that you appreciate all the times she put you first instead of herself. Rather than buy a generic card and envelope set from your nearest supermarket, you can treat your mother to something unique this year with a distinctive card, and an envelope that really grabs her attention from the moment you place it in her hand.

Go on spoil your Mother she deserves it!
