Milestones of him, her, them ~ living arrows 9/52

Smiles, love, and laughter,

I couldn’t ask for more,

To watch you both grow,

And learn together forever more.

Your personalities are shining bright,

In the morning light,

How much you both have grown.

Buba has always been my serious child. He likes things a certain way and loves a good routine. Anything outside those lines he doesn’t take to, very well. I have noticed lately though he is changing into quite a silly little rascal. He laughs at funny things on TV, and giggles with his sister over inside jokes. Lately, instead of running and hiding when I get my camera out, he likes to stick out his tongue at me. Cheeky monkey! I love that he is coming out of his moody stage a lot more these days and having fun. He definitely doesn’t seem as scared of everything as much as he used to be so may it long continue! I love seeing him run around the kitchen island and hear his ever so high pitch squeal as we chase him with Missy Moo in our arms.

her

My little princess is hitting milestones left and right at the moment. I feel like just in a week she went from my floppy, cuddly baby to my sturdy 8 month old independent lady. She wants to do everything all by herself, from feeding to grabbing toys and rolling around the floor. She has mastered sitting up and crawling backwards last week. She always seems to be happy with a big smile on her face. I love how strong her personality seems to be already. If she wants something she lets you know loud and clear but at the same time is such a relaxed baby about most things. She is starting to get to that age where she doesn’t want to be held, she wants put down to explore on her own accord. I fear I will need to baby proof the house soon, when she figures out how to crawl forward. She is a curious little thing and Buba never was so our house has never been child proofed. :0

them

Buba was in shock when he came into the living room last week to find his sister happily sitting up right. For fear something bad was happening he quickly ran over and pushed her down saying, “there you go Missy Moo.” As if he was actually rescuing her. Luckily she found it widely hilarious and it was hard not to laugh too. He just wanted to help her and she loved it. I explained she is a bigger girl now and can sit up with him to play. She will have him wrapped around her fingers in no time, or I think she might already have. Missy Moo is definitely the boss between the two. Now, if only I could get him to stop knocking her over and her to stop finding it so funny because it’s very hard to tell him off. I can picture them running through the house chasing each other very soon!

  1. Oh look at them both, I enjoy seeing your images each week. You manage to capture the essence of what’s happening exactly. It really won’t be long until they’re chasing one another round. That will be so fun! Amy xx

    • Thanks Amy. Oh dear two running around in the house. Eeeek but so true it won’t be long. That’s when the photos will be hard to capture or mostly blurred. hahaha

  3. I absolutely love the relationship they have right now! It saddens me to think that one day they will be fighting with each other, because I’m sure it will come (as the oldest of 4, I know that there is no way around it lol). It is too cute that he was so concerned that her sitting up had to mean something was wrong and he needed to help her back down 🙂 !
