Love the little things #39

Last updated on November 17th, 2023 at 05:39 pm

Wow, I don’t even know how to start out explaining the packed weekend I have been having. It’s only midday Saturday and already I feel ran into the ground. Friday, I made Ryder Cup cupcakes for charity and had to drop them off by 9 a.m. then Buba had an eye appointment, then we had Buba’s first ever soccer practice. He has joined Little Kickers and absolutely loved it. It was so great to watch him, in his soccer kit, running around with a whole group of toddlers. Then it was rush back home to get ready to go out to dinner and attend the Kylie Minogue concert with my good friend, Jo. What an amazing night we had too. If you didn’t get a chance to check out my bragging instagram or twitter feeds.

As exhausted as I was I was only asleep for two hours before I heard loud cries from my son’s room. He had puked all over himself and his bed, bless him. It didn’t end there after numerous bed changing and running him to the restroom to puke, I ended up laying in his toddler bed holding a puke bowl for the rest of the night until I had to get up at 8 am for the Baby & Toddler show in Manchester. I don’t think I got much sleep but I scooped my sleepy self up out of bed and got ready. Off to the baby show I went, got some fabulous goody bags and met with some amazing brands. Watch this space!

I only got home to whip up my seven layer tortilla dip for the lovely Butwhymummywhy’s 30th birthday celebrations tonight, do some laundry and dishes, attend to the kids, throw something in the crockpot for dinner and now catch up on my #littleloves before I get ready for Morgana’s party!

Phew! That was the last 48 hours, I am exhausted just writing that.  Without further ado, the little things I love this week!

Read

Sadly I haven’t even had a chance to start either my new book “Big Little Lies” or my Happy Handmade Home magazine from last week. This week has passed in a blur and I keep thinking where does all the time go? Reading failure this week!

Watched

We have been looking for a new series to watch and came across a show called “The Leftovers” we recorded it not sure what it was about. We watched the first two episodes and we so confused on what’s going on. Have any of you seen it?

Wore

Here was my Kylie Minogue outfit for last night’s concert. I love this skirt from warehouse and I paired it with a cheap blouse from F&F, my go-to Michael Kors heels, and Marc Jacobs clutch and watch. I threw on a pair of tights as the evening was colder than I expected.

I also got a new diaper bag from Mia Tui at the Baby Show today! I am absolutely in love with this diaper bag already. The style is perfect as it looks like a handbag but it’s got compartments and space for everything. I was struggling with my old one with two tots I have to carry a lot and Buba’s medicines, inhalers and epi pen takes up a lot of room too. It’s a perfect aubergine color for Fall season.

Heard

I was so very honored to get invited to go to the Kylie Minogue concert with my close friend, Jo who is a friend of the singer and her family! I was in awe of her in concert, she is such a great entertainer. I thought it was so lovely that she gave a shout out to her extended family we were sitting with and the lovely guitar players parents next us were so cute, kept saying how proud they were of their son and his dad kept shouting, “that’s my son!” while his mother kept waving everytime he was near our side of the stage. It was such a great experience and I had so much fun hanging out with one of my favorite people.

Made

My Ryder Cup charity cupcakes. They were sold out in minutes which made me feel good as I only had a day’s notice from the lovely Mr P.  The blue should have been darker and the stars yellow but it was the best I could do with what I had at home.

I also got to use my Oxo Cookie Press and make some fancy sugar cookies this week! I love making sugar cookies for the holiday season so I was very excited to now be able to make fancy shapes for my guest and for friends Christmas presents. You all know what you are getting this year! lol

And lastly….

Have you checked out my new YouTube Channel yet? Missy Moo had a hayday with her new Russell Dream Sheepdog recently and I shared a little gossip from the MAD Blog Awards. Stop by and let me know what you think!

  2. I love the Ryder Cup cupcakes – and yay for pulling them together on 24 hours notice! It must be the week for emergency cake; I spent Thursday morning hurriedly pulling something together for H’s work’s MacMillan coffee morning, but nothing as exciting or beautifully decorated as yours 🙂
