Pregnancy: 24 Weeks Bump Watch

In less than two weeks I hit my third trimester. That’s just seems crazy to think about. But the days are busy and it’s just flying by. I think this is the fastest pregnancy in history. It doesn’t help we have been nonstop busy lately. It doesn’t look like we are slowing down anytime soon with our Disney World trip next Friday. That soon came around, another half term. I am so excited but I know it’s not the type of vacation that will be relaxing either it’s packed from early morning to late evenings with theme parks, shows, dinners, characters, and rides. It’s a busy holiday. I just hope my body and mind can both keep up at six months pregnant.

After that it’s all about planning for baby’s arrival, setting baby shower dates, and getting that hospital bag and friends on stand by to watch our other two children when I go into labor. I know baby will be here in a blink of an eye. I am so excited for his arrival.

I can’t believe it’s February on Thursday. With it though comes Valentine’s Day and Pancake Day, two very fun holidays to bake with the kids so I am really looking forward to it. I got a few things planned to make it extra special this year since we will be in Florida for both holidays! What better place to spend pancake day then a pancake diner in the USA! Bring on the stacks of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup for me!

BABY IS THE SIZE OF A CANTALOPE AT 30 CM AND WEIGHING 590 GRAMS.

FUN FACT: BABY’S GOT A NEW PINK GLOW AND SKIN IS GRADUALLY TURNING OPAQUE INSTEAD OF SEE THROUGH.

This week the number one question everyone is asking me: HOW LONG LEFT?

I am only just over half way but it seems as soon as you hit the half way mark people are on countdown for you. They are anxiously waiting the news you had the baby. It’s still little under 16 weeks to go everyone. Wait until I am 34 weeks to be so eager for baby’s arrival or it will be the longest third trimester ever.

CRAVINGS & CHANGES:

I now have regular routines of kicking and rolling around. It’s like having a friend with you all the time to nudge you just so they know you aren’t alone. Always evenings when I am about to go to bed he wakes up and starts playing soccer. I hope that’s not a hint of what’s to come getting his days and nights mixed up already. EEK. I have always had sleeping babies so I think my third and last time around I am in for a shock!!!

Cravings have calmed down. I am starting to feel fuller faster and eating smaller portions more often throughout the day. Always feel like the baby is crushing my stomach so I can’t eat as much as I normally did which isn’t a bad thing. I have a good healthy appetite when I want to.

GETTING PREPARED:

I have a few more baby items came my way. A friends have passed on items and I have purchase a few necessities. All starting to feel very real now if the bump in front didn’t make it real enough.

I am less panicky about where baby will live, in which bedroom after he leaves my room. I think I have relaxed a bit on the nesting for now. It’s calmed down my cleaning and organized craze to my husband’s relief.

I hope you enjoy reading my pregnancy diaries and following along with our growing family.
