The Little Things Party Supplies Themed Parties Kids Party Ideas

Welcome to the ultimate tea party here at Let’s Talk Mommy!

If you are a frequent reader here you will know my love for pretty things and parties. You will know I am your typical American with my over the top ways of celebrating the big and little things in life. If you are new, welcome, you can take a peak at my party planning here, here, and here. Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Don’t just think in terms of birthdays, weddings, and christening. Why not throw a tea party for the kids? Or get those beautiful pom poms for your living room, life is worth celebrating all year round too.

I love nothing more than to find a company that shares these same passions of pretty things and celebrations as I do and The Little Things company really does share that same passion.

My kids are only young, and I love playing make believe with them. I love watching their eyes light up with wonderment and awe of the things we create and make up. Whether it’s dressing up and playing pirates and princesses or building forts (imaginary castles) in the living room we are always trying to keep their imagination growing. I decided to throw an ultimate tea party for them this week. A tea party where they would be spoiled and the center of attention. What child wouldn’t love that? I think in our case, we are a very busy family and I never want my children to think that I don’t stop and pay them enough undivided attention. Our tea party was full of Happy little farm characters, adorable cute milk bottles perfect size for my tots and scrumptious cupcakes to treat them with.

I forewarn you the following is heavily photo induced with happiness & love all over, sparkles & glitter galore,  frosting & farm animals running about, and smiles & giggles too!

The mini milk bottles were absolutely perfect for the kids. I have already ordered a whole set. I have never seen them before but I hear that you use to have them in school. I love things that are miniature. There is something so cute of things that have been shrunk down for little people.

The straws were perfect for these mini bottles. I used some pink vibrant washi tape to add a little flag to mine. You can do all sorts to dress your straws up. They have windmills, moustaches and more, for their straws.

I am the queen of cupcakes. If there are cupcakes offered even in bikini season I will be sure to have one (or a few). Most kids love cupcakes, their own mini cake to devour. These Happy Little Farm cupcake liners were another favorite of mine. They could easily work for boys and girls which is what I loved about the color choice of the Happy Little Farm set with it’s blues, oranges, pinks and yellows. I decorated a few cupcakes with glitter, a few with colored frosting & sprinkles and a few with vanilla frosting zigzagged. The farm characters on top went perfect on all of them.

Another way to think out size the box, why not use your cupcake liners for treats. Fill them up with marshmallows like I have done or other favorite treats to create a whole treat buffet along side your cupcakes. They are are thick enough to hold heavier sweets too.

A lot of themed cupcake liners are hard to see once the cupcake is baked in them. I was so impressed how thick these were so that didn’t happen. The farm theme is still as vibrant and clear as when I put them in the oven. So there is no need to double up! Bonus!

I woke the kids up after their afternoon nap and told them their was a big surprise waiting downstairs. They usually take their time waking up with cuddles and lounging around but both of them perked right up, ready for celebration.

Buba asked, “What’s all this Mommy?”

I said, “This is a tea party for you and Missy Moo”.

He replied, “That’s because we are a good boy and girl.”

“hahaha” I agreed.

He then asked, “Are you coming to my tea party with Granny and Daddy or you been naughty?”

I laughed.

The plates were great. They were sturdy enough to hold a heavy cupcake. Some party plates are flimsy and just fold when you put food on them. Half the time people have to double up and then it just gets costly or you run out. I loved the cut out edging on these too. The Little Things Party Supplies Themed Parties Kids Party Ideas The Little Things Party Supplies Themed Parties Kids Party Ideas The Little Things Party Supplies Themed Parties Kids Party Ideas The Little Things Party Supplies Themed Parties Kids Party Ideas

The straws are great for using to drink but why not put large colorful marshmallows on top and dip the tips in melted chocolate. That’s always a great attraction for a child, a treat on a stick! The Little Things Party Supplies Themed Parties Kids Party Ideas The Little Things Party Supplies Themed Parties Kids Party Ideas

Their happy faces here when they learned this was their tea party. One to get spoiled, be imaginative and eat as much cake as possible before dinner. In other words a Happy Little Farm Heaven! I dont think they knew where to start first. Missy Moo was in disbelieve that we were giving her full reigns of her milk and cupcake. She just kept pointing at first, “this, this”.

There is nothing more I love them watching them be happy, and knowing that I brought this happiness upon them.  It doesn’t take a lot of money or time to make the ones you love feel so very special. It’s not something you would do everyday but I enjoyed baking the cupcakes, and setting their tea party up for them. I remember watching the clock, excited for them to wake up from their naps and hoping they would be as excited as I was. They didn’t disappoint.  partycollageThe Little Things Party Supplies Themed Parties Kids Party Ideas

I made some extras from our tea party and put them in cupcake boxes for friends of ours with kids. Why not spread our tea party fun to our friends and family. We were so impressed with them we had to share.

You could do this for a kids birthday party or even a picnic celebration in the park. They would make great gifts too if you know someone who loves cupcakes. hint, hint. The Little Things Party Supplies Themed Parties Kids Party Ideas

Overall we had a great afternoon, with a beautiful view both out the door and on the table. We laughed, we giggles, we ate cake and we’re merry. That’s what life really is all about. The Little Things Party Supplies Themed Parties Kids Party Ideas

Here is what I would add to this beautiful tea party if it was for a birthday or christening celebration! There is so many pretty things things you can add and do with the Happy Little Farm theme that’s why I love it so much.

Do you have a special occasion or celebrations coming up, check out The Little Things they have so many other themes and party supplies. Or maybe like us you just like to celebrate life with a good old fashion tea party with their great prices, why not? There are a few items that I would use on a daily basis that I am already excited to use for other things.

    • Oh thanks Rachel so sweet of you. Glad you like. Hope you got some party tips out of it too and love the The Little Things company as much as I do. Already hooked. Oh gosh I didn’t think they were as good as I hoped as it’s been so cloudy and gloomy out. Bad lighting.

  3. Gorgeous little things. I’ve got some of those mini milk bottles in their own little crate – so cute! I have been too nervous about giving them to my kids though being glass and open topped! Looks like Buba did well there though. I got the straws in red & white for EJs circus party and black and white for JJ’s pirate party, but I also have a pack in various pastels – they are just so pretty. 🙂

    • Thank you hunny. I agree. I think I need a whole box of stripey straws just for fun! The mini milk bottles are fantastic and they are so cheap I don’t mind if the kids break them but even so MM dropped hers and it didn’t break. They are very thick too. Give it ago. It’s so cute.

  8. I LOVE the cupcake cases! I may or may not have a small addiction to cupcake cases and I’m trying to get better at using them and not just saving them for a best that never comes but I know what you mean about the disappointment when you take the cake out of the oven and you can’t really see the beautiful pattern anymore. These look fantastic (must resist clicking the link, must resist!)

    • I totally agree. Thank you. A party doesn’t have to be lavish to them just putting a blanket down some paper plates and having a little snack on the floor is a party if you call it a party. Thats the beauty of kids imaginations. lol

I think there might be a business idea here… you could sell your cup cakes and tea trinkets in a pack for unimaginative people like me :)! Next time, can I come?
