Living in a bubble, sledding, and interior changes #littleloves

FriYay, no way. It’s no yay for me this week. Sorry folks I have been up to my elbows in vomited for the better part of it and B is now starting to show signs of it too. Sharing is not caring in this scenario. I just hope I don’t catch it as I have a big weekend planned for some long over do bestie catch up and a night out too with friends. I don’t want no plagues keeping me in this weekend, possibly next weekend if it must get me. MM is now on the mend poor thing. I am doing a lot of catch up work that I haven’t been able to do this week and feeling slightly overwhelmed that I may have said yes to too much at once. Ooops! But it’s been rather nice living in a little bubble for a week I am not going to lie minus the smell of said bubble. Sometimes I have to be forced to stop and than afterwards I am grateful for that pause in life. When your baby is sick that tends to stop life for the time being as they need you cuddling them and being there one hundred percent. I may have even had a little cry while she slept on me the other night.

THINGS I AM LOVING THIS WEEK…

#littleloves titles

I am almost done with “I let you go”. Whilst everyone was raving about it and it came highly recommended by SOO many of you, don’t boo me, but it wasn’t a page turner for me. I think only because I have read a few similar stories lately to this story line that it almost felt like I had already read this one and its taken me awhile to finish the very end. But up next I have Disclaimer which sounds promising. On top of my book reading, of course I have been reading hundreds of blog posts this week too. While I haven’t been able to comment as much as I normally do given the illnesses in the house, I did love one from Katie – Just Because.

It’s not what I heard this week but what I will hear soon. Is that cheating… I say no! I have wanted a radio for my kitchen for so long and this little lady will be joining my cooking sessions so very soon and I am sure a few family dance offs with the kids too. I have been saving some vouchers I had from Xmas & my birthday for this and its now been ordered. *squealradio #littleloves

I finished the seasons of Orphan Black and desperate for season four to come out! Hurry up already! I am always really frustrated because I missed recording Scandal when it came out and so I am missing episode 1-3 but have 4,5,6,7. Anyone know where I can locate the first three so I can catch up on my favorite show. It’s killing me not be able to get it on amazon prime, iTunes, google play etc…

On the plus side I have watched my two kiddos go sledding for the very first time ever. While MM wasn’t too impressed with snow at first she loved being pulled around on her sled.

It’s the week of “statement necklaces”. I swear I don’t do a theme on purpose but with my last fashion post being a week of stripes and now this, I am starting to think my subconscious mind says otherwise. Either way, I am loving the bargains I found in the sale a few weeks ago and wearing them out as much as possible even if it is just for the school run. My new go to style seems to be a pair of skinny jeans, a baggy tshirt and a statement necklace.

I am back to trying to eat semi-healthier and I love, love making Stuffed Zucchini aka Courgettes. You can literally put anything in a zucchini/courgette and bake it. These came out crunchy and delicious. I promise to have the recipe up this weekend and come back and link it here.

What am I at again, you may ask? Well, the problem with living in a bubble is you start to over analyze this bubble and make lists of all the changes you would like to see to this very bubble. I have been doing more than that and am on a huge furniture selling rampage to get rid of two whole rooms. I want a blank canvas to work with so I want it all gone. From large corner sofas, curtains, canvases and cushions, to dining room table and chairs. Oh yes, it’s all going. If you know anyone looking for some cheap furniture, shout! Otherwise watch this space as I have huge plans for my home this year both big and small. I have finished off the spare room, master bedroom and B’s bedroom last year. I have so many room tours and updates I need to share over the next few months with you all. It’s very exciting! Let’s Talk Mommy’s had a makeover and now the house is having one too. We are simplifying everything which goes along with my new year’s resolutions.

  2. Oh no, sickness bugs are the worst. I’m really bad with puke too, we always thought Matt was the bad one but he always deals with the puke when the kids are sick as I just can’t face it! Poor little things, hope you manage to escape it x

    • Oh me too. I am trying to snuggle and be there for her without kissing her too much. It’s the price we pay to comfort them if we get it too. Isn’t it? I think B might have caught it though. Thanks thats how I feel about people wearing dungarees love them but don’t suit me.

    • Oh you must check out Bauble Bar they are truly amazing and have great sales every week. I never buy full price as they always go on sale eventually. I have the app and just watch it for great deals. Oh I really need to get in gear and do some room tours waiting for brighter days as I have little light in my home.

  11. I love statement necklaces too, but so far haven’t found any I’ve really wanted- except for a really expensive Stella & Dot one I couldn’t bring myself to buy.

Glad MM’s better, and looking forward to the big clearout and room updates. We need to do the same with N’s bed, and the living room and back room in terms of new decor, paint, furniture.

  12. I was the same with ‘I let you go’ I just wasn’t feeling it like everyone else did. Pleased MM is on the mend – there is nothing worse when your little ones are sick x

    • Yes I finally got into it at the end but I hate books that make me work at loving them. Yes she is back to her chipper self. Took awhile so innocent when they are sick.
