The holiday season has arrived and with it, all the parties to go to are scheduled on the calendar. Have you got your party-wear ready? Better yet, what are your feet going to wear? I am a firm believer you don’t have to suffer for fashion, you just have to be creative with your wardrobe. I like to be warm and comfortable on those absolutely freezing, winter nights out for Christmas parties. So for me, my feet prefer holiday ankle boots!
Ankle boots whether causal or dressy, are a huge staple in my wardrobe. They still have a heel to feel shabby chic and beautiful. These three dressy boots are perfect for any holiday party or festivity from Christmas dinners, holiday lunches with friends, to a holiday day out shopping. You can pair them with a dress, slacks, or leggings and a festive top. Your options are endless and they dress up any casual outfit for the holidays.
One of my favorite things about the holidays is to be more dressy in my everyday outfits. The house is decorated festive so why shouldn’t you be too? I have put together my favorite three holiday ankle boots and styled them with some holiday outfits. I have two Christmas parties and a family dinner out to attend to so I have my three outfits already sorted, have you?
THE SEQUINS ANKLE BOOT:
The black sequins ankle boot is the best option for a staple wardrobe for the holidays. It goes with absolutely everything. Even plain black jeans and a blousy top would look chic with these beauties. They are so comfortable with the elastic stretch opening so you can rely on them to be easy to slip on and off. I have paired it with one of my plain black dresses and my silver sequin bag for my first Christmas party outfit. I could wear it with tights or go without, it’s the holidays so show some legs. I always think ankle boots make your legs and bum look better. It’s all in the heel. Your toes won’t be freezing in these gorgeous boots either.
THE COLORFUL ANKLE BOOT:
It’s Christmas who doesn’t like a pop of vibrant color? Or perhaps some velvet texture? These ankle boots are a new favorite for both dressy and casual outfits this holiday season. I wore them the other day with white jeans and a pink blouse and got so many compliments. For my family dinner meal out, I am pairing it with my bauble dress (which I call it because it looks like xmas baubles). It helps pull out the beautiful colors and really dress this outfit up. Again using my new favorite bag that’s silver and black sequin for an accessory. They are super comfy with the thicker heel and the easy to slip on elastic once again, they are a pair of boots you can count on to wear all evening without hurting your feet. The color is my favorite part though it’s even more lovely in person.
THE PLAIN ANKLE BOOT:
While plain isn’t really fair on these lovely silver ankle boots, they are more likely to be used for Christmas shopping, a festive lunch or afternoon tea party. But as I said any ankle boot can be dressed up or down with the right pairing. For my second Christmas party, my dress is way over the top with beads, sequins and lace down the back so I needed a ankle boot that complimented it but didn’t take away from the dress. I also know at this Christmas party, I will be dancing more and needed a more solid heel and sturdy boot to rely on to keep my feet happy especially because I am pregnant. This time I flipped my two tone bag to all black to match the dress.
I wanted to show you below just how versatile these three ankle boots really are… I could have paired any of these with this dress below or any of the other dresses show here. I love the look of bare legs in ankle boots. They make the legs appear longer and the bum higher which is always a bonus for the ladies. Keep watch for these outfits to come on my instagram when I hit the parties for Christmas.
Which one would you put on your feet for a holiday party?
