It’s spring/summer time and that means the sandals are out, the vibrant colored clothes are on the racks waiting to be bought and worn, and the search for a great day to evening bag is a must. Why buy different handbags for different outings when you can grab one that will go with your entire wardrobe. Each year, I like to find a bag that is versatile that I can use for a plethora of things and one that will go from day to evening without a hitch. In my search for this great day to evening bag, I wanted a more neutral colored one to go with this year’s vibrant wardrobe. I love a good vibrant bag as much as the next person but this year I wanted my outfits to be the vibrant colors and patterns and go for more neutral bags and accessories. I am dreaming about brown wedges, rose gold jewellery and cream bags with neon yellow shorts, red dresses, and purple tank tops.
I found this gorgeous Dune Elix Flapover Cream Clutch Bag from House of Fraser. It has a flapover circular detail close but inside is a hidden gold chain for your shoulder if you wish to use it. The gold detail makes it dress up any casual outfit but the chain keeps it perfect for the day time look. Whereas the hidden chain option makes it great for a clutch for evening wear. I love the leather feel to the outside of it, so soft and beautiful. It has a magnetic close so it’s easy to open and shut with a zip pocket inside for your change or valuables. It’s large enough fit a small wallet inside, your sunglasses, your phone, and not feel too bulky when closed. As most people carry more on a day out than they would in their evening bag.
Here you can see I have paired my Dune clutch with a blue rolled up shirt, white pants and brown wedges for a nice casual day look. It looks great with the pastel colors for a day of shopping with your friends and I would definitely use the chain so I didn’t have to carry it under my arm all day. The gold detail went great with my trio colored watch and bracelet too. I am obsessed with gold, silver and rose gold mixed together this season.
Moving into the evening, I paired my Dune clutch with my new red dress. It’s vibrant all on it’s own so the neutral bag and shoes really make the dress pop. A nude bag with nude heels is a must if your outfit is bold or full of patterns. It’s one of my favorite going out looks or even great for a polo match or the races too. The beauty of a neutral clutch bag is that it goes with every color even black.
When it comes to versatile bags, they are always a winner in my book. Whether you are out all day and going out for the evening this is a lovely bag to add to your spring/summer collection. I have used it numerous times already and got so many compliments on it. I never thought I would be a neutral bag and shoe kind of girl but I am definitely a fan this season.

Oh I am not and I actually was so mad these didn’t come out more clear. The sun shined through and it went all hazy but I had to get them done as it was raining for the next three days ugh I need to live in florida where I could take my photos outdoors everyday.
