New Theme, Vlogging Goals, and a new shop #littleloves

I have so much planned with friends this weekend, it’s a no work and all play kind of weekend. We haven’t had one of those in a long time. It’s playdates for mommy as much as they are for the kids this weekend. Win, win. I am looking forward to it. I have a friend coming over Saturday for a playdate and some fun photography styling which is always a blast. We swap work ideas, play around with instagram stuff and our kids play all kinds of games and play outside together. Sunday, I am putting on brunch for another friend and her kids too. I love having people over for a big feast. I am pulling on the tablescape skills out for a beautiful American breakfast spread. I think I will definitely need the gym a few extra times next week after this weekend. We all know when we get together with friends and catch up there is always food involved. Or is this just me? I think I am a feeder as much as an eater. Anyone else?

It’s been a busy long week. I won’t complain, work is good but tiring being pregnant and my body not keeping up with my busy mind. Did you notice anything different on Let’s Talk Mommy. My new site is finally live. I haven’t changed my logo yet as I wanted everyone to know it’s still me here with SO much changes to the actual site first before I change my branding, colors and logo all together so it’s still a work in progress. One big change is my SHOP page. You can now shop my wardrobe, my kid’s wardrobe, my home, and my food and kitchen props too! It will be evolving but there are some fab items already there for you to scoop up if you are looking for something you have seen in my photos, on my instagram or I have mentioned in my youtube hauls, tours, and wishlists. Please tell me if you find anything that isn’t working right or you find not user friendly, I will fix it. I need some loyal testers. What do you think of my new site?

THIS WEEK I AM LOVING…

READ

I put aside Night Circus and started The Secret Of Nightingale Wood, not because Night Circus wasn’t catchy or a good start but I wanted to make sure I got my book for the book club done. With our trip to Disney World next week and half term, I was worried I would get to the end of the month and not finish it. So far, my goal of a book a week this year is flying by and I think I read two books in one week the week before so I am on it. I finished The Secret of Nightingale Wood in 24 hours, one late night and a breakfast Sunday morning and it was done. It was a great story, easy read, and just what I needed for relaxing. Now, back onto Night Circus this weekend which is intriguing and fun in a whole different way! I love switching genres and story types back to back. Keeps reading entertaining.

HEARD

Did you hear? My youtube is getting busy. On top of my book a week challenge, I am also uploading a VLOG every Wednesday, this year. So far, I am ahead of myself with two per week, the first two weeks of January. I daresay it’s easy to keep a challenge for one month. Let’s see how I get on for the next few months ahead especially when baby arrives! EEEK.

This one is a short one minute, everyday family moments would love you to watch it and throw a thumbs up my way please. Don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss out on what I am sharing, it won’t always be about pregnancy, babies and family. I have some awesome home styling and shopping hauls coming soon.

Last year, I did a whole year of #littleloves monhtly vlogs which I love, you can watch back what I read, heard, watched, wore and more too, check out my Little Loves Playlist here.

WATCHED

I just started watching 13 Reasons Why on Netflix. Not that I have any time at the moment to actually get through a series but it’s on when I am doing laundry and dishes and general chores. We also started Billions on Amazon. It’s fab and hooked us a lot more than House of Cards did so we stopped watching it. House of Cards for me just was a little too slow and depressing. No one seems happy. I like happy or at least fast drama to entertain me.

I have been living in my new activewear. I find it keeps me motivated to get to the gym first thing in the morning before I dive into work. I feel much better for it when it comes night time and I get snacky and eat badly, like the pancakes below. Helps me balance out those cravings during pregnancy without the guilt. I shared my 5 Favorite Pilates Moves While Pregnant. Pilates is one of my favorite classes to do a few times a week to prepare my body for birth. Also makes you feel calmer and relaxed which I definitely need at the moment.

MADE

Pancake Day happens to be the day before Valentine’s Day. What better way to celebrate both with this mouth watering stack of Berry Chocolate Pancake Stacks at breakfast with the whole family. Although I am not sure I liked sharing mine when I made these for us this week. My daughter loves pancakes as much as me and she wasn’t about to let me eat a stack alone.

AND LASTLY

Instagram stories is flourishing and I can find myself getting lost a little too often during the day over on it. I try to do it everyday now and see what everyone else is up to. It’s a great way to see the reality of some of your favorite instagrammers before the perfectly planned, styled out photos pop up on their feeds. Don’t get me wrong I love those too. Just look at these gorgeous, fun snaps this week from #lifecloseup below. Click on photo to see their feeds and give them so much deserved love. If you haven’t checked my ig stories out, come watch. I highlighted a few for you just in case you missed them this week.

  1. Loving the active wear! I couldn’t get into House of Cards either but 13 reasons why was amazing! I love insta-stories, preferring it over youtube recently #littleloves

  4. I love your #LittleLoves vlog, such a nice little capture of life. I keep wanting to do more vlogging but I’m not really sure where to begin. I think if I tried to do videos like this of my kids it would all be of them fighting!!

    • Oh it’s really just about grabbing your iphone snap a few seconds of your day and then end of the week or month putting them together with some music. There you go, first vlog. Like home movies to look back on and see what you got up to and the kids too. It takes practice but one you do it it’s second nature. Here to help just message me lovely.

    • Oh gosh Kara don’t give me too much credit I wouldn’t say amazing, I am frazzled and running around like a crazy person half the time. Not sure if that’s a good thing just to get more done. Logo is frustrating every time I think I like it, I don’t. We had a lovely time she is so positive and inspiring love being with her.
