The weather has let up for a moment this week, and wanting to take full advantage of it, we ran to the local park for a little fun time. Missy Moo has only been sitting up (assisted) for a few weeks so we haven’t had a chance to test out the swings for the first time, until now.
At first she was a little apprehensive, but then she was in full smiles, swinging back and forth. I think it’s safe to say she will like it a lot more than her big brother ever did. He was petrified and still stays clear of them now.
It was sweet watching her swing, and thinking she isn’t my newborn anymore. She is growing up so fast, and every little new thing she accomplishes is another step away from that. It’s very emotional for me, letting her grow up because she is my last baby.
Linking to the lovely Jaime with Magic Moments & the lovely Charly with What’s your story? Thank you ladies for hosting such wonderful linkys!
How adorable. I have the cutest pic of Alexander in a swing for the first time-he looks miserable but I love it!
Isn’t funny how they all tend to not like the swings at first. Glad you captured it anyways its a good memory to keep. Both of my kids first swing pictures look miserable. hahaha I love the swings myself but maybe I too didn’t like them at first. I will have to ask my mother. 😉
Missy Moo looks adorable there and certainly moving from baby to toddler before your eyes! Lovely photos in the swing and wonderful to capture. Popping by from #MagicMoments and would love you to join me for #CountryKdis with this one. Missy Moo is fast becoming a Country Kid looking at this post!
Oh she sure is, I can’t believe it. Makes me sad because she is my last baby so baby days are almost gone. Boo. She loves the outdoors. I would love to link up, I have another outdoor adventure I am working on to link up though because I was told people don’t like one post being linked up to a lot of various linkys together, so I try to stick to just two. But will definitely link up my other outdoor adventure, as I am a new blogger I want to abide by the rules! 😉
I’ve not heard the linky rule but wouldn’t want you to break any agreements with others.
No it wasn’t an agree just saw it on twitter a few people ranking. I linked up anyways. lol hahaha They can slap my wrist later. I love your linky!!
Thanks for popping over and joining in with #CountryKids.
I couldn’t resist, thanks for welcoming me open arms, and full of linkys. lol hahaha Definitely link my other up next week too. 😉
So adorable! My little one wasn’t too sure at first too.
I wonder if all children at first don’t like the swings. Yet, my older one still doesn’t so glad she finally got into it. I love the swings!
Aww look at Missy Moo on that swing – adorable photos. They just grow up far too fast don’t they. Thank you for sharing with #whatsthestory
As always I keep my loyalties. lol I know they do. Wish they could stay little forever. Love #whatsthestory
Oh a first swing is such a lovely milestone – it looks like she had fun!
Eventually, she was a little apprehensive at first but got into it. So many milestones both little and big are passing us by so fast. I wish it would all slow down so I can capture every second of it before it’s all gone.
What a cute swing! It’s crazy how quickly they grow… 🙂
Hi Betsy, thanks for stopping by and commenting. i know it makes me sad too, I wish they would stay young and innocent forever. Then other days I can’t wait till they are older and we can do more big kids things. It’s a coin toss which is better. Hope to see you again soon.
I have lovely photos of all three of mine in swings, it’s such a moment in them growing up isn’t it? #WhatstheStory
Can’t beat a good first swing. I am glad I had my camera with me. Thanks for popping over from What’s The Story hun.
You’ve got such lovely shots of her first swing ride! I remember my son was eight months old when he had his. #whatsthestory
Missy Moo is almost 8 months old now and I think my son was 8 months too. It seems to be the sit up age. We would have tried sooner with MM but it was rainy all of December. hahaha Thanks for popping over from Whatsthestory!
awww honey what a lovely outing, we were so grateful too to get some fresh air this weekend
thanks for linking up with #MagicMoments
Thank Jaime, I know, I hope we get more semi nice weather to play out in. I am done with cabin fever. More fresh air please. Of course, I wouldn’t miss your Monday Magic Moments, I am loyal!! 😉
Awwww, so adorable! I remember the first time each of my babies went on the swings quite vividly, and it truly is a magic moment. Glad you managed to capture it all! Mel #MagicMoments
Thank you so much Mel, I almost didn’t have my camera with me too. I was so relieved I remembered it last minute. They are great moments indeed. 😉
