Valentine’s Day, Big girl decisions, and a #littleloves addition

Happy FriYayand Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am a firm believer that sunshine really is medicine. I have had a happy end to a busy week. I feel like a little skip has been put back in my step which was VERY needed lately. I am feeling like me again all around. There has been two days of blue skies for the most part this week and that is heavenly. (sad but true). But it’s Valentine’s Day weekend and I am ready to shower my family with love and all of you of course too.

I have started a few new projects in the house and with work so that has me busy. There is nothing like pulling yourself out of a funk and feeling whole again. We are waiting on furniture deliveries for the back room and trying to decide if we should put MM in a big girl room yet i.e. a single bed. It’s not that I don’t want her to grow up, I don’t. It’s not that I don’t want her to be in her crib anymore, I do. At her age most are in big beds but to me, well, honesty is the best policy I don’t want to deal with her getting out of bed 24/7 all night long and coming into my room, she would. She is not climbing out of her cotbed, yet. She has plenty of room in there even I fit a time or two. So do we put it off or do we plunge and hope for the best?

THIS WEEK WE ARE LOVING:

It’s all about the catalogs coming through the door at the moment. Looking for inspiration for the various projects I am trying to finish off in the house. It’s a never ending mission. These are a few my favorite ones to browse and read at the moment. Where do you find home inspiration?

It’s the week of love and I have been listening to the mellowed out Kodaline songs and this one was a good rainy day tune. Don’t worry I will mix it up, it’s not always going to be country booming here. 🙂

I have added a new little feature to my vlog over on my channel. It’s just another extension of my #Littleloves roundup here on my blog. Not many of my viewers read my blog so I thought I would start to share my Little Loves over there too. Except this time it’s a monthly #LittleLoves roundup. Morgana and I kept saying it would be nice to vlog our roundups as much as write them. So I am testing out the waters. The first one is a little similar to here but I want it to be an entire month of what I am loving next time.

It’s a week of recycling a few favorite outfits and scoring some new colored jeans from Zara. A new favorite place for my skinny jean collection. I am obsessed with these mint green ones below. They are so comfortable and so cozy.

This week I have made a lot, it’s starting to show on my hips but all for a love of Valentine’s Day. It started out with a fun, kid friendly Valentine’s Day Heart Jelly Foam Bark for Little & Fierce Blog.

Then came this Jammy Dodger Marshmallow Ice Cream recipe using Cookie & Fluff’s gourmet flavored marshmallows. YUMMY, doesn’t describe this amazing concoction.

Is it Spring yet? I want more sunshine, longer days, and birds chirping on the morning school run. I can’t believe that we are in the middle of February already. In just 14 days my momma is visiting from the states. Something I cannot count the minutes fast enough for her to arrive. I have been homesick a lot more than usual and it always goes away when we are together. We have a lot planned while she is here with just her and I as well as trips with the kids. Who are just as excited as I am about her arrival. There is nothing better than having family together.

    • Thanks Alex so kind of you to say. Yes I am attempting to vlog once a week but need the days to get lighter. I am struggling for a place in the house that’s bright and clear for my videoing. I need to set time every week to do just one. Need more practice to get better at it.

    • Oh thanks darling. 😉 Yes great idea you should have others that don’t blog link up with their vlogs for it too. Invite them to do weekly or monthly. I think it works great for a monthly roundup of what I am loving and up to sounds better than my update videos so I am doing these instead. Will always link back to you and invite others to join me. 🙂
