Women supporting women & a few firsts #littleloves

It’s Friday! I am not sure how we are at the weekend already. This week seems to have flown by and I don’t know what I have really accomplished. I am ok to see February flying by it’s my least favorite month of the whole year. I have been trying to make the most of it by getting into Pancake day and Valentine’s Day two holidays where I really haven’t done much in the past but giving them a go this year has been a nice change to February.

Read

Once again I have yet to pick up a good book to read but have been reading blog posts galore. It’s great to have Share With Me blog hop because I get to read such a variety of blogs and topics each week. There seems to be a bit of a theme lately in the post that I read and I do wonder why as mothers we don’t all support each other fully especially in those tough times and stop judging others so much. We are all working towards the same aim to raise our children the best way we know possible.

Heard

This week I haven’t been listening to much music but I have been hearing my children constant whining about the littlest things. Is it just me? Is it just a phase? I really hope so. My mental health is holding on to the fact that it will soon pass. I know Buba just needs to get out more and run about and Missy Moo has been with a temperature and a running nose but my patience levels seems to have checked out completely.

Watched

We were ever so excited to experience our very first movie theatre experience this week with Buba and our very first day just me and him since Missy Moo was born. I know how sad is that in almost two years it hasn’t just been the two of us. We had a blast and Buba was mesmerized by the big screen and Shaun the Sheep movie.

Wore

Buba and I were strutting our scarves for our movie premiere and I am loving my leather jacket more lately even though I bought it about two years ago I wasn’t sure I could pull it off. Buba loved not having to wear a coat and wearing his fuzzy vest instead. I have to say I think it really suits him. Now if only he would stop stealing Daddy’s Ted Baker scarves like this one I bought Daddy for his birthday. The kids are getting to the age where they are using Daddy and Mommy’s stuff. I lost a handbag to MM just last week! I thought I had a few years until that all started. Guess not!

Made

I made Valentine’s Day chocolate hearts for Mr P’s office staff. They loved it and were nice enough to donate a pound to charity for each one. I was having trouble with my camera lens so I was disappointed with my iphone food styling for this one but the cake turned out too yummy not to share. It’s the easiest recipe ever too for chocolate cake you can use all year round!

And lastly…

I am not a beauty blogger but I do like to look my best and this week I have been revamping some of my makeup and moving to bold and braver colors for my eyes. I also have been loving the new Younique fiber mascara. Forget those false lashes that fall off and eyelash extensions you are forever having to spend money to fill, I am all about the fiber mascara. It really has changed my whole look. I am offering one lucky reader the chance to WIN a Younique 3D fiber mascara kit too so you can try it out and see what the rave is all about.

  5. I think the kids, much like ourselves, start to get cabin fever as the winter months drag on. At least that’s what I’m telling myself! You guys look lovely in your scarfs though – every cloud and all that! Have a great weekend x

  6. your cakes look fab – very inspiring! And you and Buba look very stylish on your day out together. I wish I had more opportunities to have a day out alone with JJ – it does feel like the older child does miss out on that one on one time once they have a sibling. Have a great weekend Jenny #littleloves

    • I know me too. Took me two years to hang out with just Buba and it will probably be another year again. Bless older siblings. Cake was delicious. Photos not so great but yummy so had to share.

  8. What a lovely post, as usual. So great that you and Buba had your cinema outing. Its so hard when you have two children and managing to find enough hours in the day/ week to have one on one time with them.
