Buba, I was so very proud of you yesterday at the zoo. Your fear of animals is lessening and I am so relieved. It’s still present when they get too close, even if there is glass in between but you no longer shake, have accidents and hide under my legs when you see them. I am hoping all our trips the the zoo and various farms have helped you this summer and may it long continue. I don’t ever want you to be scared of animals. At the zoo, you started talking back to the animals and telling them to be nice or making up stories of what they were doing at the time. It was so pleasant to see. You absolutely loved the penguins and meerkats which I don’t blame you they were so cute. Tomorrow is our last day here in the states and I am so sad but I think you kids are ready to be home in your own beds and own space. It’s been a great summer for you Buba, you are coming home with a little American accent. Mommy couldn’t be more proud.

Missy Moo, you little climber! I don’t know what to do with you. You are so different from your brother whom never climbed, explored, or independent. But you little girl, you want take a mile when I give you an inch. You climb everything, you explore everywhere, everything goes into your mouth and you get into everything too. I fear going home this week where our house is not baby proofed. You have changed so much this summer in America. I can’t believe it. I left with a baby and am coming home with a walking, talking tot. You got four more teeth this past two weeks, I was shocked so many came at once. You were getting a little testy with them coming in but we are finally seeing your smiles again. You had a blast at the zoo yesterday. So cute to see you so curious of the animals and running around the play ground like you own the place. I definitely am starting to see the start of a strong personality from you. You are bossy like your Momma!

I love that you both teach each other things and experience life together. I am so grateful that you are both close in age and are starting to understand each other more and more everyday. I can’t wait to listen in on your little sibling conversations. Buba you are the best big brother I could have ever asked you to be to Missy Moo. You are always concerned for her when she cries, falls, or needs something. I think it’s wonderful you rush to her side to assist. Missy Moo, you think it’s wonderful too as you boss your big brother around all day long, making him grab you things or do things for you. Yesterday at the zoo was such a great family day out with our friends and I loved that you both were so interested in the animals – together. Buba you were so excited to rush Missy Moo over to see the walrus in the aquarium, never wanting her to miss out on what’s going on. You both have been so good to each other lately and there hasn’t been any fighting, jealousy, pushing or having to separate you both. I thank you for that especially as we finish up our two month long vacation. I am sure it’s been hard on you both. You are the best team ever and I love you both so very much. Thank you for making our USA summer absolutely AMAZING! I can’t wait until next year!

  4. Missy Moo looks so so grown up stood up like that next to Bubba. So cute. And a huge well done to Bubba for getting better of his fear of animals. Z loves them till they try to touch him, then he’ll leap into our arms. Bubba might like Hesketh farm near Skipton, lots of animals to feed but all safely behind their fences so at a distance. Safe journey back hun xx

  6. It sounds (and looks – from the pictures) like you have a lovely summer in the US.

Both my girls are scared of animals, not too sure where it comes from but I’m sure they’ll grow out of it. My mum tells me I was the same at that age.
