THIS WEEK I AM LOVING…

I read Truly, Madly, Guilty by Liane Moriarty as fast as I could. It’s a page turner and kept me guessing until the end. If you like Big Little Lies it’s a good one for you. I am almost done with The Little Book of Lykke, having taken hundreds of notes on the things I would like to change for my family and as a person on a journey for happiness all around. It’s a quick read so if you like a book you you can pick up and down and only read a few pages this is your book.

Do I daresay more instagram changes are coming? Do I even say the word instagram? It’s one of those social media networks that we all fall in love with them they start messing with them. Rumors this week say there will be a four across grid coming our way and some have already seen it happen. A glitch? I don’t think as smart and rich as these companies are that they have this many glitches. I think they just use that when everyone throws their hands up and say “STOP CHANGING INSTAGRAM”. I do think they should have more user options for us to choose how we want our feed to be whether that’s by interest or by chronological order. That would be amazing. We could all go back to loving it the way each of us want to love it in our own way. What are your thoughts about the forever changing instagram?

I am trying to share the rest of our summer trip before Autumn truly hits us next week, officially. I have one more Seattle Weekend and a tour of my hometown and home I grew up in too coming. Here was our lovely DITL (day in the life) of a birthday boy. Would love you to watch it and leave us a thumbs up or a lovely comment. We are trying to share more of our everyday life on our youtube channel.

I am still half in summer clothes and half in Autumn colors. I love this mustard tank top. It flows and drapes nicely with beautiful embroidery I got at Target in the states. We really need a Target in the UK! It’s amazing. I got this plus pink velvet jacket at a little bouquet in Georgia last Xmas but it’s still a firm favorite with my favorite trio gold, rose gold, and silver Michael Kors watch. These topshop burgundy skinny jeans give this summer top a more Autumn vibe and helps the color pop. Wasn’t sure as a blonde if I could pull off the mustard but I loved it too much.

When we are in the UK, most weekend you can catch up making homemade pancakes together. Eggless of course for our family but the kids love baking and getting involved. I love the slow start to our weekend mornings before we rush off to do soccer and gymnastics. I have a bunch of new Autumn recipes coming your way too so keep watch.

Of course, it’s lastly but not less important to share my love for these instagram feeds below. They continue to join in to my lovely hashtag and community. It’s such a supportive one too. All the photos brighten up my day, when I scroll through them. As instagram changes I really hope they don’t change how hashtags work or mess up this lovely group of snappers that some of them I now call close friends. Come join us here

  1. I love Lainne Moriarty. I also keep seeing the other book everywhere. I’m half in summer and autumn clothes too. I’d be all for choices on instagram but I’m guessing we won’t get a choice.

    • We should though it would stop people from getting so upset about changes. We would boast about it even more. It’s always there just to make money and help big businesses nothing more. Facebook went the same. I didn’t know she wrote more books will check them out. It was definitely a good read.

  2. I need a new book so will check that one out. We bake eggless pancakes too, they are so good. I’m loving that mustard top. I’m trying to mix and match before digging out the chunky knits!

  3. Another book to add to my kindle list! I need to hurry up and read the little book of lykke. I keep picking it up and putting it down again in favour of something else. But what I’ve read so far is great. Love that mustard top, it’s gorgeous. Hope you all have a good weekend x

    • Thank you ever so much. It’s summer meets fall fashion for sure. I did the same in the end I waited until I could read for a whole hour and almost finished half the book in one go. Helped me take notes and take it more seriously and how I would apply it to my life.

  5. Was very excited to be featured in your Instagram round up this week, thank you! I’ve loved the Little Book of Lykke and want to make sure I actually implement some of the strategies too and don’t just forget everything I read. I love your top and the autumn colours creeping in. I’m finding Instagram really frustrating at the moment, I hope they sort it out soon! Have a lovely week x #LittleLoves

    • Oh me to it’s an absolute nightmare making everyone ratty. Thanks lovely got to transition slowly from summer fashion to autumn so I don’t get complete shock to the system. Hahaha yes me too. I took notes and wrote down key points on my calendar to remind me.

  6. I heard IG are testing. Fingers crossed it will see less use from those users they’re testing it on, so won’t roll it out. I think we’ll struggle to see photos clearly. I wish they’d have the option for chronological. I mean, Facebook has so why not IG as well

    • I don’t think there is a wrong or right to it at the moment we all are sad, frustrated and annoyed with it daily. We can relate. I need to get a kick up my butt and get back to doing more recipes

  7. Instagram is a total minefield to me at the moment and it’s making me not want to use it! I do wish they’d stop changing it. I am loving the mustard yellow but even with dark hair I struggle to pull it off. I think I have a yellow tone to my skin so it doesn’t always work. Thanks for the book recommendations! xx

  9. I like these posts regarding what you READ, MADE, WRE etc, I’m always looking for good book reommendations as I always like to have one on the go before bed; anything regarding fashion always grabs me too … mainly because I’m nosey and like to see what people are wearing and because with a young daughter I need to look ‘with it’ and not like her grandma who got dressed in the dark – not that there is nothing wrong with the way ‘grandma’s look’ but beause I’m an ‘older mum’ who doesn’t neessarily want to look old!!
