My Mother on Youtube, True cream, and Easter Giveaways #littleloves

Happy FriYAY! I am a little sad it’s my last weekend with my mother visiting. I am sure you have all been spammed by it over on twitter and instagram possibly even my facebook page. Sorry about that I have just been so excited to have her here with us. I can’t wait to go back on come July now.

We have been keeping busy with the kids and all their activities for school and nursery. It was a lot with Mother’s Day and Easter and let’s not forget the great World Book Day. I love these holidays and all that they bring but being so close together I haven’t ever made so many crafts and errands in my life. It’s been a new experience in the world of school days for me.

THIS I AM LOVING…

It’s been a big week for Let’s Talk Mommy. I think I have wrote the most blog posts in one week than I ever have done on top of the doing the most vlogs too. Have you ‘read’ us featured in Gurgle Magazine in this month’s edition? (below). It was a very exciting experience walking into WHSmiths and buying one and finding me in it along with so many amazing, inspiring bloggers. You can always ‘read’ us over at Little & Fierce sharing our Easter Marshmallow Pops Recipe or ‘read’ us on Laura Ashley sharing my Easter Styling for my home. It’s such an honor to be featured in these lovely places.

On the book front I have failed this week. I wanted to start A Spool of Blue Thread but haven’t had the time to even open it yet. Will let you know the verdict.

Have you had a chance to listen in on me interviewing my mother? Oh yes, I got her to brave my youtube channel for a little insight into what it’s like to have an expat daughter. She was so strong even answering some questioned that had me choked up but it shines light on the other side of moving abroad.

I am back watching Pretty Little Liars…the girls got a lot more glamorous if that was even at all possible. We are still working through Breaking Bad but it seems to be a very, very slow moving show. I am just waiting for Scandal to come on iTunes because I missed the first five episodes and can’t seem to find them anywhere yet to catch up. What have you been watching? Anything on Netflix you recommend?

It seems to be vibrant blue or black this week? I always seem to have a theme in my weekly roundups without even thinking about it. I have bought a few tops from Zara this week in Chester while my mom and I were peaking around the shops there. What a lovely place to visit. I also haven’t gone anywhere without my new Storksak bag. I am raving about it here, but it’s the ultimate bag for a mother. It’s both handbag and changing bag and I can fit so much into it’s unbelievable. It’s the mini organizer that comes instead that blows me away, making it easy to change out things. It’s constantly on my arm as you see below.

I also have been wearing a few new beauty products and ones that I can’t live without below. I have never been one to buy a lot of makeup but have been true to some of my favorite brands like MAC, DiorShow, etc. While being loyal I have added a few new products to my makeup bag like this True – All You Need Is Me cream. With sensitive skin I tend to find what works for me and become brand loyal.

True All you need is me balm, mac makeup, beauty products, and diorshow

I love DiorShow because it doesn’t clump and the brushes don’t make my eyes itch like a lot of other brand brushes do. MAC is another brand favorite with this shimmer and I do use this as eyeshadow sometimes too. My brushes I have to be careful of not using certain products that irritate but the bare mineral’s brushes are lovely. This True Organic’s ‘All You Need Is Me is the new favorite among my makeup bag so I thought I would highlight it a little more.

While this ultimate natural skin cream was originally creating for sore, cracked nipples during breastfeeding it quickly gain popularity for other skin complaints too. For me, it’s really is a lovely cream because it’s free from all the stuff that makes me break out, have rashes, and it heals those dry, cracked, sore places. I have always struggled with my lips and can’t use chapsticks or lip glosses without issues. I can’t tell you what a relief it is to finally find a balm that doesn’t make my lips blister and heals the cracked, peeling of them in winter. Especially right now when the weather and wind is torturous.

MM is also suffering from chapped cheeks from the wind and this literally cleared it up in two days. I was amazed as nothing else was working for us. It can be used on hair, nails, and variety of ailments, have a look. It’s one to definitely always have in your purse if not your makeup bag.

As I mentioned above we made lovely Easter recipe of on Little & Fierce, do check it out. So easy and so yummy for the kids to make and eat. We also have made Easter bonnets for a school drawing and a paper church for the school charity fund and even decorated Easter eggs. Phew…for someone who doesn’t craft it’s been blazing here.

I have made this lovely minestrone soup this week that quickly became a new favorite soup and I am dying to share the recipe with you all when I get the time to write it out. Here is a sneak peak…

  2. Congratulations on getting into Gurgle, what a fantastic achievement. We started watching Pretty Little Liars a while ago on Netflix and I’m really enjoying it. We’re on season 3, I’m not sure it’s possible for them to get more glamorous is it? And I love your outfits #littleloves

  3. I love the sound of that cream! I have fairly sensitive skin too, and my lips in particular are always awful at this time of year, so this sounds perfect! It sounds like you’re well into the Easter spirit too – I’ve not really done anything apart from scoff a shed load of mini eggs (which, you know, I’m not complaining about!)

    • Oh you can’t have Easter without making yourself sick off mini eggs they are SOOO addictive. I love them. I struggle with my lips this is about the only thing I can ever use on them now.

  4. Oh Jenny. Your video had me in tears. You and your Mum are so sweet and it must be so hard for you all, even after 9 years. Obviously there are the good points too but this video made it all so raw.

Love your outfits as always. When I am a little slimmer I might try taking photos from that angle! x

    • Oh thanks hunny I was so impressed she agreed to it. It’s harder even for her as I was the only made the decision so she was brave to share her feelings and emotions to it. It’s harder some days than others.

    • Thanks loving having my mother visit and sharing our mini adventures together on Insta for sure. She was very brave to even consider doing it and I was impressed with her comments and holding it together. It’s harder for her than me because it was my choice.

  6. That soup looks delicious! You always look so stylish! I saw your pic of you in the blue patterned top the other day and loved it and I always want to raid your necklaces, where do you get them from? I watched your expat video with your mum the other day and had a little cry. My mum feels the same about us being expats and I always feel the guilt about moving away from her. Glad you’re having such a lovely few weeks together. Have a great weekend x

    • It’s hard isn’t it? When it’s our choice and we moved away from them so the guilt eats at you. I hate that part of it. She did well though I was proud of her for sharing and agreeing to feature on it. Glad you like my style its a hit or miss somedays hahahah Necklace I get from charity shops, bauble bar sales, M&S, Next, John Lewis you name it. I am always on the hunt for some new ones.
