Siblings {November}
Siblings is a monthly portrait project from the lovely DearBeautiful, sharing the captures of our little ones as they bond as siblings, love as siblings, fight as siblings, and everything in between.
Whilst I have been extremely sick lately and trying to keep up with these two rascals I have tried to still capture these two in their finest moments. I have noticed lately they both have become regular comedians. The cheekiness is in both of their eyes and they are constantly not only making Mr P and I laugh but making each other squeal with laughter by doing the most normal things like sitting on the kitchen floor with Missy Moo’s famous ducky creating over an hour of giggles. I never knew a little ducky could make two tots laugh so hard. It’s moments like these that make me so grateful to have two beautiful babies. I have given them each other, a forever best friend. The one that has been there from the beginning and will be there until the end.
The older Missy Moo gets the more I am seeing a change in the dynamic of their relationship. Before, Buba was more of a protector to his babysitter over everything even her falling over when she learned to walk. He used to brush her hair and fetch her dollies for her. The more independent she becomes, she has become his partner in crime, his everyday playmate. They are becoming more equals. He still wants to protect her but on a much bigger level. He lets her be more independent too, cheering her on from the side lines. I am loving this new equal dynamic.
They both sit at the table in big kid chairs now.
They both sip from big kid cups now.
They both feed themselves or each other now.
They both play independently and together not needing mommy so much now.
It’s hard to let go of my last baby being a baby. I can vouch that having two toddlers is a lot harder than it ever was having a baby & toddler and a lot sadder as I know that my baby days are over. That era is closed now. But as I watch them both being more equal and doing more grown up things I get excited for the future. I get excited for the things we will soon be able to do and enjoy as they age.
November has brought on these two tot’s cheekiness to its all time highest. It has shown these two siblings are now equals. May the giggles and laughter long last through the new year!
Oh they do both have such a wonderful glint of mischief in their eyes in that first picture don’t they – it makes you smile just to look at it! They’re gorgeous pictures of two gorgeous children, it’s lovely that they’re just getting closer and closer as they get older 🙂
Thanks Carie. I know i always thought they were close as just a protective pair but now as partners in crime its amazing to watching them.
Ooo! Love the photos!
This is def. something I need to check out. 😀
My only downside is that I still don’t have an actual camera. 🙁
Iphone photos are just as good too. I use my iphone for my blog a lot too.
It;s crazy how all of a sudden it’s like having two children instead of a baby and an older child, I love watching my two get closer and closer. They have a special bond that no-one else can be part of. Love that first photo too, adorable! x
Thanks Jess. I know it’s a weird feeling like having twins almost. They are just one in the same at the moment. It’s beautiful to watch but they definitely leave mommy out a lot now. hahaha
Awww they look so happy together 🙂 Beautiful babies!
Thank you so much. I feel very blessed.
Lovely photos and they definitely look like they have a wonderful bond and have so much fun together. I too am finding that the age gap seems to diminish now that my little one is on the move. I can see how Missy Moo moving out of the baby stage is very bittersweet though. Lovely to see that sibling bond grow each month x
Thank you. It’s almost so sad for her to move up and on out of the baby stage as she is my last. I have tried to keep it going slow but it’s inevitable. Bless.
Thanks Louise. Glad you get to experience it too. So different than having a baby and toddler for sure.
i briefly considered having another baby so my youngest would have a playmate but I think 2 toddlers would finish me off! It’s lovely that they play so nicely together though. X
Thank you. Yes well some of my friends say a bigger age gap helps. Lol
They are becoming more and more alike all the time!!! I love the pics of little bubba really cracking up laughing, so damn cute!!
Thanks hunny. I know I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw that on my camera. It was hilarious. They really were having a ball together over nothing.
Thanks hunny. I know he is in the melodramtic laughing stage right now. It tickles me.
It’s the cutest thing when siblings become partners in crime! At least they get along, so that’s a good thing. Your kids are so adorable, and the photos are lovely as always 🙂
I hope you are feeling better now x
Thank you darling. Not feeling 100% yet can’t shake this nasty cough. But trucking on. Thank you for asking. It’s great being partners except when they gain up on mommy. lol
Thank you. I often wonder if i am bore everyone with similar photos all the time. But they really do just love being together.
The look so adorable! Love the smiles xx
Thank you so much. They are so fun to watch at the moment.
Thanks they do crack me up these days together.
They are so cute! Well done for managing such a lovely photo session with them despite being ill. I hope you are starting to feel better. It is really obvious your little ones love being with each other. x
Thank you so kindly Mel that’s really sweet of you to say. I am lucky it’s not hard to get these two to make each other laugh. I actually was laying on the floor a great place for a coughing fit or two. lol Took me away to stop coughing into between captures. lol
Thanks hunny. No still coughing i dont ever remember being sick for so long. Too much to do so i keep trucking along. Thanks they are so fun as you know at this age. So entertaining.
What a lovely set of portraits Jenny. There’s nothing sweeter than the sound of siblings laughing together is there? Sounds as though they’re really coming into their own now. A lovely phase 🙂
I know it makes me both sad and excited for the future. No more babies here. So sad the era of babies is gone. But it’s great to watch them grow more together now.
Oh yes little personalities shining brightly. Hahaha
They are growing up so quickly aren’t they? They look VERY mischievious……… Hope you’re feeling better x #sharewithme
Thanks me too. Need a miracle to break this cough. Yes they are very cheeky and up to no good usually together.
Thanks darling. Still coughing but trucking on. No rest for the wicked. Lol
Grace says – They are getting sooooooo big and look VERY cute. Mummy said something about having t have eyes in the back of your head????? #sharewithme
Oh yes i am learning that one quickly thanks lucas. I might have to start getting those haribos out and bribery. What do you think?
What a lovely idea. My two are really starting to develop this bond. We starting bathing together this week and they both had so much fun #sharewithme
Oh yes we do a double bath time together and they absolutely love it. It’s always a teary first milestone having a bath together as siblings. They grow up way too fast.
Such an adorable post. So cute, such lovely photos of them playing together. Lovely how your little boy looks after his sister xxx
Thank you. I know I am so proud of him for being such a great big brother.
Oh Jenny, I love what you said about them being forever best friends, that is so sweet and they do look like they are close. I love the photos of them giggling together, it makes me giggle just looking at them x #sharewithme
I know Buba is all melodramatic with his laughs at the moment. It’s hilarious. Thank you.
The end of the baby era is sad, but they seem to have such a beautiful relationship. It’s lovely
Thank you so much Sian. Its sad but I am also excited for the future. The older they get the more we can do.
I love the first picture. They have such cheeky grins with twinkles in their eyes. I’m sure they are going to have so many amazing adventures together x
I know it almost scares me knowing how much trouble the two of them might cause together. hahaha 🙂
Aww! they are such cuties Jenny! That sibling bond is definitely a strong one – my three love and fight in equal measure! But ultimately they are always supportive of each other, and as a parent that is pretty amazing to watch! Loved reading this pet xxx
Thanks hunny and your three are so amazing it always makes me want a third when I read your beautiful posts about them. So bittersweet.
Ah they are adorable! Hope you are finally beginning to feel better, poor hon. I so know what you mean about the close of the baby stage. Waaaaa! xxx
Waaa indeed my lovely. Yes on the mend just need to stop coughing and catch up on so much work.
They are just too cute together Jenny, gorgeous pictures xx
Thanks Jo. So sweet of you. They are funny together at the moment.
Missy Moo – is getting so big. Where does the time go? They are beautiful. Sorry to hear you have been unwell – hope you bounce back soon xx
Oh me too. So desperately want to stop coughing. Thanks i know she is catching up with her brother.
Gorgeous photos 🙂 Nothing beats hearing one child make another laugh, one of my favourite things! It sounds like your two are growing so well together x
Thank hunny. Yes i am so grateful. I hear of siblings that fight constantly. That would be hard. I am sure it will come though too. I am one of eight. So i know lol
Letting go of the baby days is bittersweet when you know it’s your last. I’m already feeling a bit like this about my mobile and mischievous nine month old monkey! Your two are simply adorable hon 🙂
Sorry to hear that you’ve been unwell. Hopefully nothing serious xx
Its just a really bad chest infection that just wont go away. Bad immune system. Cant keep up with me. Lol Yes goes so fast. Enjoy it.
Aww such little cuties! And it so nice to hear how the dynamics of their relationship are changing. Brought a little tear to my eye! x
