Last updated on November 19th, 2023 at 12:21 am

Do you have young children or you just clumsy like me? Maybe both! I have been through my fair share of smartphones being destroyed by my children and myself in water. I was so ecstatic and even WOWed when I heard about Splash Proof. It’s one of those products that blows your mind and leaves you a little scared to try. A spray on water resistant coating for smartphones – how can that even work? Splash Proof Spray on water resistant coating for smartphones giveaway

How can this little spray bottle coat your phone and yet leave it completely free from water damage when the spray is liquid itself. Splash Proof had to have some amazing testing behind it but what a great product to have if you own a smartphone.

Most people don’t know their phone insurance won’t cover water damage. After getting a big bill to pay for a new smartphone, I soon found out the hard way. You have to check out how easy it is to apply, in this video below, a few steps to protect your smartphone from water damage.

    • I am not sure but I don’t see why not as smartphones are the same as tablets just smaller. I can imagine it works on anything similar. Best of luck.

  1. Ooo what a fab product! There have definitely been a few near misses in our house. How clever that someone thought this up. I’ve never bothered with phone insurance because I think it’s a waste of money as there’s always so many clauses where they won’t pay out and I certainly didn’t know that water damage was one of these! It always makes me think, if only I’d have thought of this idea hehe! #sharewithme

    • It really is a waste of money as the fine print is awful on the insurance. I have lost a lot of phones and paid for insurance and there is always something in mine that I don’t get to used it so it’s pointless. Great invention.

  3. Somehow in 15 years of mobile phone ownership I have never managed to break one. I know it’s tempting fate to admit it, and with two kids its inevitable that it will happen sometime soon, so I really should invest in something like this x #sharewithme

  4. I saw these, but I’m not sure I’d dare try it in case I didn’t do it properly. If my OH had a smartphone I’d definitely get it for him then he doesn’t need to worry about dropping it in water troughs or the like while working #sharewithme

    • I was a bit nervous too. But then I think they can’t have a product on the market that ruins phones so I closed my eyes at first and tried it. lol Definitely great for husband and kid’s smartphones. hahaha

    • I hadn’t either and was a little worried at first but it’s brilliant and it was amazing to see that it actually does work. Technology these days blows my mind sometimes.

    • That’s true, you don’t have to have child. I long harmed my phone just by spilling my own coffee on it before I was a parent. lol Best of luck.

  5. This looks amazing! Does it protect against being dropped down the loo?! That was how my last phone met its end. Great product, thanks for your review. Thanks for hosting #ShareWithMe and another huge high five for your nomination! Xxx

  6. Such a clever idea. And definitely helpful, especially for moms with little ones that spill drinks (or in my case, chew…) phones with such stealth. I’ll definitely be interested in owning this product. Thanks for sharing & for hosting this week’s #sharewithme

  7. Oh wow, I need this in my life. Had no idea that something like this existed – a spray, too! I’m very clumsy myself and can’t always blame things on the kids, though my daughter has inherited this clumsiness and spills something nearly every day, and always in dangerous proximity to my iPhone or iPad. I’ve entered the rafflecopter, but if I don’t win, I think I will get this anyway! x

    • I wish I could blame the kids and say I need this in my life now as a parent but lets be honest I needed it long before I become a parent. Clumsy person here.

  8. Wish I had known about this before I switched to the Sony X3 pretty much because it was waterproof. We have a pool so I thought for sure I would drop it in there at some point or my daughter would 🙂

  9. I soooooo need this! I dropped my brand new phone down the loo less than a month into a 24 month contract. Since then I’ve been using a bunch of old phones that have died one by one… when I buy myself a brand spanking new one, I need this in the house just in case of an emergency!!

  11. I cycled to work in the rain this morning – without waterproof trousers – this is the sort of thing that would save the contents of my pockets at times like that.

  14. The Mother says – What a great giveaway. It’s so naughty of companies not to tell you of not being insured for water damage as that’s the most common damage. Glad I’m not the only clumsy one!!!! #sharewithme
