I am very excited to announce that this year we are a “Konfidence Swimologist Family”. As a family that loves the water and swimming as much as we love cake this is a very exciting adventure for us for 2015. With Buba starting school in September and Missy Moo turning two this summer we have a few beach holidays and water experiences to share with you along the way! This year will be one to remember!
What does it mean to be a swimologist? Well with two little toddlers learning the art of swimming we have tried and tested numerous learning techniques, swimming lessons and swimming aids such as floatsuits and armbands so we haven’t just did our research but as Swimologist we are putting that research to action and learning by doing! We will be testing out some amazing Konfidence products to see how it helps my two little ones be more confident swimmers in the water while having fun in the sun!
Konfidence was created by a family with children and they knew by experience just what they were looking for to help their two kids swim more efficiently, effectively, and safely. Who better to create such products than parents? Who better to test out those theories than little swimmers themselves?
“You may study all the “-ologies” of the world,
but if you do not learn swimology, all your studies are useless.”
My love for swimming has been there right from the start of my life. I took swimming lessons as a child, and went on to become a lifeguard and swimming teacher myself as a young adult. I love the feeling you get when you are swimming whether it’s in a lake, ocean, or pool. I grew up on a river and spent most of my summer days either in the river or at the city pool! As soon as I had children I knew I wanted that for them too and if not for that reason, at least for safety reasons when they were on holiday or at their grandparents. There are so many benefits to learning the art of swimming!
We have had the pleasure of being apart of swimming lessons since my son was born and both kids have gone through the various levels of swimming and still go each week. It’s such a great experience taking them for me too. It’s something we do together and I cherish so very much.
As a Konfidence Swimologist Family we will be sharing our favorite Konfidence products over the summer and what we think of them. I know I am most excited about the floatsuits and jacket for the kids when we go on holiday. It won’t just help build their confidence up as they are not huge fans of armbands but it will definitely help Mommy and Daddy’s confidence of them being in water as such a young age.

I am also excited to offer a lucky reader the chance to WIN a Konfidence £50 Voucher so they can have the Konfidence experience too. Good luck!

They have a lovely range of products and good to start kids swimming at a young age to build their confidence in the water 🙂
Thank Kim, I can’t wait to go on our holidays soon and test it all out. The products are such high quality and everyone raves about them.
My lo (as almost every child I think) loves swimming! I can’t wait for the weather to improve a little bit more to take him to the pool again!
I know I am dying for the weather to get warmer so we can get to swimming and playing in the sun along with our Konfidence products to share with all of you!
Awesome, thanks for the chance xx
Love Konfidence and looking forward to reading the reviews and planning what to buy as my baby grows.
Me too, their products are amazing and such high quality. We are going to have a great summer with them as their swimologist family. Can’t wait.
I love the konfidence range for my little boy and as a swimming teacher many of the children i teach use konfidence products.
Thanks Kelly. Yes, I would have loved to have Konfidence for all my little swimmers back in the states when I was teaching. It’s a great brand!
My eldest loves to go swimming. Can’t wait to take my baby swimming too.
Oh mine do too, it’s something I absolutely love doing with my kids. It’s never too early to start with babies either. I have been taking my two to swimming lessons since they were 4/5 weeks old!
thank you for the qiveaway
Yay – good for you – I’m sure you’re all going to have a wonderful time putting all of the bits and bobs to the test!!
Thanks Carie. We are truly honored what a great brand to collaborate with.
Aw I know how much you all love your swimming so this is fantastic news Jenny, so pleased for you! Look forward to reading about your lessons for the little ones and seeing how they progress x
Thank you Kiran. Me too. They love the water and we are on a few holidays that all the gear will come in handy on so I am really excited to test it all out.
Well done lovely!! Swimming is a daddy thing in my house – the chlorinated water aggregates my skin. The kids love it because it’s their special time with him 🙂
Ahhh that’s really sweet. Nice to have daddy swimming too. My husband can’t swim. Lol I have been teaching him slowly over the years though.
Confidence in the water is one of the most important things that we can teach our children and I’m so pleased for you being a #swimologist! Looking forward to reading more about your water-based adventures. I take the Little Man swimming every week and he’s happy on his front – not so much on his back! Hope to pick up some tips from your upcoming posts #sharewithme
Thanks Michelle. Yes me too can’t wait to share it all this summer. As a swim teacher myself for years I have found a lot of kids don’t like their back it feels unnatural to them and can take some time to like it. The best thing to do is try and try again but never force it. Make it fun to look for monkeys on the ceiling or a buddy flying over head. It’s a work in progress to perfect it so they trust being on their backs.
We’ve been trying to get our now 6 month old into swimming since she was 3 months. I still feel like she’s confused by the whole thing. Hopefully her water confidence will grow in time. Such a great family activity – not to mention an essential life skill.
Thanks for hosting #ShareWithMe!
I couldn’t agree more. Definitely something we love to all do together. Don’t worry they are still getting to grips with how it feels weightless in the water at that age. Keep it up and making them feel secure with you in the water is the first step.
Great post. My little ones have only been swimming a couple of times as Jessica gets very cold quickly in the pool even with a wetsuit so we don’t go often. I should really try harder to find a warmer pool for her.
I would look around there are water pools for the younger ones. Has you tried full long sleeve and long leg swimsuits and wetsuits. Instead of the short ones. Keep them moving when they are in the water if they are holding the sides a lot they will naturally get cold for not moving. Try 30 minutes at a time. So they can learn and get confident on how it feels but not be in too long. Just a few things I told my parents when I was teaching.
This is great news! I know how much you like swimming, so this is just a perfect match for your family 🙂
Thanks Tarana. Yes we were ever so excited and we are definitely a water family so it’s a perfect partnership.
This is so exciting (particularly the GoPro – I’d love one)!
Yes it was a very exciting perk. I can’t wait to try it out. Takes some getting used to though. Lol we love swimming so can’t wait to try all their products out and share with you all.
Congratulations! We did it last year and had some much fun. They are so lovely to work with x
Ahh yes I saw that. Congrats bet it was great. Such a great brand to work for.
Congrats on being a swimologist lovely! X
Thank you so much Lisa. We were very excited.
huge congratulations! We’re a swim happy family too so I can imagine how important it is to you to be representing a brand such as this, I live by the sea so it’s more a safety factor for us as well as fun. Have a great time on your beach holidays and looking forward to seeing how you get on with all the gizmos.
Thanks hunny. Yes definitely a safety thing too for us as my parents live on the water. A great bonus to love swimming for us all too. I am very honored to represent such a great brand.
Congratulations. I look forward to reading all about your swimming adventures this summer x
Thanks Lindsay. We are too. Can’t wait to share it all with all of you.
Congratulations! Swimming is good fun, but also so important. My children have always loved the water and I hope they continue to do so. I hope you have fun
I agree and with a husband that couldn’t swim when I met him I am definitely pushing it for safety as well as fun as a family.
Amazing competition and such a fab opportunity for you and the family. Enjoy.
Thanks Rachel. I know we are very excited.
What a great opportunity. Swimming is so so important and I really need to push myself to make sure Archie learns to swim as soon as he can! #sharewithme
