It’s no secret I love Christmas. From the decorations that spill out in every room in my house to the many, many recipes like these Christmas Jam Star Puff Pastries, I make each year for my family and friends. I absolutely love the holidays. I love the happy vibes, the festive cheers, and just how many social events there are. We try to see Santa each year somewhere different, I love booked a theatre show or a pantomime for the kids too. It’s starts to get frosty out and we go ice skating, sipping hot chocolate and basically reliving my childhood Christmases through my kids. Nothing wrong with that right? Do you love the holidays?

One thing that’s also not a secret here on Let’s Talk Mommy is I love easy family friendly recipes. I am a busy parent. Okay, busy doesn’t even come close to what I try to pack into a 24 hour period, it’s insane. But I want my kids growing up learning how to bake and cook and being involved in the kitchen as a family. So without a lot of time on my hands, I am really good at whipping up any platter or dish or treat, last minute when someone in the family wants something or friends pop over. A good tip to do such things is always have a few basic baking ingredients and items like puff pastry in the fridge and the freezer.
