The weekend is upon us and I don’t know about you but it’s the start of half term for us here. It’s a very needed half term as B seems to be absolutely exhausted lately. We have been constantly on the go and so we are looking for to quiet, lazy mornings and picnics in the park, all week long. It’s going to be a half term of quality time spend together and chilling out. The rest of the month seems jam packed so we really need to make the most of the next week together.
HERE IS WHAT I AM LOVING, THIS WEEK…
I have been reading blogs more than books, lately. I tend to go back and forth where I read a ton of books all in a row and then weeks of reading blogs instead. There seems to be a theme of babies and broodiness in my blog reading too, I can’t help it there is a blogosphere baby boom out there folks but here are some home interior and lifestyle blog posts that I love too.
Mummy Daddy Me – Our Little Bird
Dear Beautiful – Dear Beautiful Little Lady
Not Another Mummy Blog – On Giving Up Sugar How it Changed My Life
This is what the kids have been reading this week. We have revamped the kids’ reading corner with some new books. I was so excited to find 10 books for £10. As much as we read in this house, it’s great to find great stories that don’t cost a fortune. My littlest is becoming more and more like me everyday in the things she loves reading, doing, making, and even bits of her personality. We spend hours sitting down re-reading the same stories over and over. I have memories of doing this very thing with my own mother.
Have you heard the LTM news? It’s with sadness that Share With Me blog hop is no longer my baby. This week is the last week I will be hosting my lovely linky after almost three years of sharing it with all of you. It’s been such a great way to get to know blogs and bloggers alike. It was a big decision but it’s moving on with someone else that hopefully will keep it going and love it as much as I did. So please come share your favorite posts with me, one last time. You can find the blog hop’s new home over at Mummy Fever starting next week.
Come watch my monthly big #LittleLoves roundup vlog. I am sharing lots of new wardrobe finds and accessories for summer. Don’t forget to give me a thumbs up and stay tune for my next vlog… a home interior shopping haul coming soon.
It’s one of the hottest trends I am obsessed with at the minute, quotes and sayings on clothes, accessories printed posters for your home. There isn’t one category that isn’t trending right now with funny sayings, inspiring quotes, and words that suit us in the fashion world. Words are literally taking over! It’s like sharing our personalities on our clothes for all to see. I love it. These are just a few items below I am lusting over for my wardrobe. Have you embraced the sayings yet?
The only problem I have is either the clothes are all sold out (almost every time) because they are that popular or they don’t have my size or color I want which is frustrating to say the least. Sometimes I love the sayings but they need tweaked a bit to actually suit me. I don’t think I could quite pull off Stressed, “Blessed” and Coffee Obsessed but perhaps Stressed, Dressed, and Coffee Obsessed would better suit me. Whatever the saying is going on in your head or you see somewhere, why not get creative with your fashion wardrobe and have them made in the style, color, and size you want. No one said you couldn’t design your own wardrobe. These days it’s easy to do.
“WORDS ARE TAKING OVER THE FASHION WORLD”
Try Firelabel Customised Clothing, they have so many options where you can create your own unique tops. Check out my favorite Firelabel branded tops below. Wouldn’t these look great with a quote or saying on them? I love the idea that my wardrobe can be curved to fit me, my style, and my wit. (I have been known to think I am funnier than others find me) but hey, that’s ok, it’s my wardrobe. I quite like the idea of a tank top saying, “I haven’t had my coffee yet, #BEWARE” That would suit my weekend mornings perfectly. Or simply a white t-shirt or sweatshirt with #foodie on it. Either way, you have full creative control from start to finish and so much to choose from. What would you put on your clothing?
This week, I am over at Little & Fierce sharing my Fruity Rainbow Popcorn recipe. It’s brilliant for parties and weekend treats. The kids love the color and you can mix and match fruity flavors if you want. It really is so easy to make which is a bonus, just handle with care until it cools. You can do as many colors as you want too. I like to even color the popcorn a vibrant yellow as we use plain popcorn so it turns out more white than yellow. Do you have a party coming up? Test this out on your guests and let me know what they think and what fruity flavor you went for too.
I also have been catching up on my digital scrapbooking. I have a two and half year back log of them to do and my goal is to finish before we go to the states this summer. 🙂 Phew, I know big task ahead. Here is the one we just made for our whole summer abroad last year. (discount code here, if you are making your own).
I am excited to announce my official BritMums Live 2016 Sponsor this year is Bobux Shoes. They are a super funky, trendy kid’s footwear brand that I have fallen in love with. You can see my love for them here and here for both my kiddos. I don’t know how I didn’t know about them sooner to be honest. It’s such a great honor that I get to represent them and team up with them for this event. They are a brand I will rely on and go back to time and time again. (2017 they will stock bigger sizes too)!
Linking up to #LittleLoves over at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat and teamed up with Firelabel to great creative with my wardrobe and customised clothing.
I love that digital scrap book (I love yellow). I love children’s books too and bookshelves like yours are great for them too.
Yellow is my all time favorite for sure. It’s a lovely album to have on the shelf and I love the other colors they offer to go with it. I am finally catching up on my photos.
Aww, I’m sad to hear you will no longer be hosting Share With Me but I can imagine that is does take up quite a lot of your time. I love the popcorn, it looks so pretty and I can see why kids would love it! xx
Thanks Jo, yes I know so many regular at first but they soon moved on and it’s time for me to too. It was hours of work and while I loved getting to read everyone’s blogs and comment I am trying to build my business and time is everything right now. I will miss it. I hope you will still link up with Mummy Fever I would hate Share With Me to stop with me.
We are exhausted in our house too and so ready for the half term. There is a real baby boom.in the blogging world I am loving seeing all these newborn baby pictures.
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend xxx
Yes hurray for half term. I hope you are enjoying it and the nice weather too. It’s been nice to chill out and relax so much with the kids. They needed the extra time in bed each morning too. I am absolutely adoring on all these blogging babies showing up on social media. I am so broody. lol 🙂

Same here, before B started school I had all these plans to be creative and have all our half terms planned out, stuff to do, places to see, and traveling and when it comes down to it he just needs some chill out family home time really. To rest and recharge. He isn’t five until August so he is still trying to keep up with kids almost a year older than him bless.
I am hoping I get to meet you at this year’s BML! Such a fab sponsor. I love quotes on literally everything too! x
Thanks Donna I know it seems like I have know you for years and yet we need to catch up in person this time. 🙂 Hope all is well darling.
Lovely round up Jenny. I also love quotes on just about anything! I really want to update my wardrobe with a few breastfeeding friendly tops and sweatshirts with slogans on- I might try ASOS or Selfish Mother. I look forward to watching your round up vlog too. Ah Bobux shoes! We got to review a pair of fab boots for F last year. They’re great! I’m at Britmums this year for the first time (I did Blogtacular last year) – I’ll pop over and say hello if I spot you! xx
Oh yes lets catch up at BML for sure lovely. That would be awesome. I am there the night before think we are all going for drinks later that evening if you are around join us. Yes it’s all about the quotes I love it. Asos and Selfish Mother always good go to places.

It’s all about the actual statements these days in fashion isn’t it? I love it. Yes go for it and let me know what you think if you don’t like sweet popcorn leave out the sugar and still color it. So fun. Have a lovely rest of the week darling. Thanks for popping over.
We get coloured popcorn here, never thought of making it myself, will have to have a look at your recipe. Love your dresses on your video, they’re gorgeous. I might have to take a look at that 10 books for £10 offer too, what a bargain!
Have a good half term x
Thanks lovely for your kind comments. Yes check them out so cheap and we love the stories and we are getting 10 more already. The kids are huge bookworms. I didn’t know you could buy it how exciting. If you don’t want to make my sugary sweet version just leave out the sugar and you can still make colored plain popcorn for a healthier option.
I really need to get on board with the digital scrap booking. In fact I’m going to make it my mission to start it today! Thanks for the discount code 🙂
Yes of course. Once you start you can’t stop I am almost all caught up and loving it. So many nice photo books to show visitors when they come over too.
