December has been a very busy month preparing for the festive season and a great way to end such an amazing year with the family. The tots were all geared up for Santa this year whereas last year they were still too young to know what was going on.
We have sang Christmas carols with brass bands, visit Santa and his winter wonderland, attended festive parties and playdates, admired festive lights, exchanged gifts, read Christmas stories, ate merrily as much as possible all in the month of December.
I am obsessed with Christmas so I went all out this year with decorations, festive books & games, and baking galore. We have had the luxury of two Christmas dinners this year, one with family and one with close friends. Dinners that I won’t forget.
It was the first time I ever cooked my own turkey for Christmas at our house. It was also the first time I the kids got to bake with me. The kids had an amazing time at friends on Christmas day making memories with their friends. The love I felt this year during the festive season was so great and LTM family are so grateful for it all.
It definitely was a month to remember!
Daddy is loving …
Time off work,
Family festivities at his golf club,
Singing carols with a brass band,
Family time & friend time,
Daddy time.
Mommy is loving…
Family time with all of us together,
Christmas festivities with the kids,
Baking up a storm in the kitchen,
Sharing the holidays with family and friends,
Watching the kids on Christmas day,
Everything this year has brought me.
Buba is loving…
Meeting Santa,
Singing Frozen 24/7 at the top of his lungs,
Dancing with Noo on Christmas to Frozen,
Opening presents on Christmas morning,
Helping his sister open her presents,
Learning to ride his new bike.
Missy Moo is loving…
Finding Roma, the Elf, each morning in a new location,
Pointing to Roma, and saying “elf” 500 times a day,
Watching her brother go crazy opening gifts,
Playing in her new dollhouse with her brother,
Becoming Daddy’s shadow during the holidays.
The kids have really grown up a lot in the last few months of this year. I can’t believe how fast it goes when you are right there watching and documenting it all. They are becoming little kids right before my very eyes and as 2015 will be my last year with them both at home, I intend to savor every last second of it as much as I can. Freeze the next few months we have together before everything changes again. Before I can’t scoop them both up in my arms at the same time and cuddle and kiss them all over anymore.
2014 has been an amazing year for all of us, so many adventures have been experienced and shared between us all. We are so grateful for all of it. We are looking forward to another great year next year. Buba is starting school next year and there will be so many firsts and new things to follow. I hope you have enjoyed our year and I hope you will be along for the ride for 2015.
Looking back at 2014 Me & Mine posts, I only wish I had started in January instead of missing out and joining in late March! Here are our captures if you want to take a look back!
