Missy Moo’s Milestones: 9 months old

Last updated on November 16th, 2023 at 05:27 pm

MM9monsBWMy gorgeous baby girl you are getting so big.  I can’t believe you are 9 months old now. You continue to surprise me everyday with new abilities. Your cooing is now louder and more often. I don’t think it will be long before you start to talk. No longer are you the silent observer but you have blossomed into a loud screecher for attention, especially to your big brother.

Crawling has now been added to your list of can dos, but you can only go backwards or in a circle, not forward. This forever complexes you, especially when you end up with half your body underneath the couch instead of where you intended to go. But you are getting there, lifting your whole body onto all fours for the first time this week.  MM9MonthsBWThe one thing that hasn’t changed is your smile. You continue to smile about everything to everyone, as long as they don’t hold you. From the moment you wake up until you go to sleep, you are full of life and happiness. Everything is amazing to you, I love seeing the world through your eyes.

You are still in awe of your big brother, loving him even though he has now started to get a little rough and pushy with you. Laughing doesn’t help Mommy tell him off either but you do it anyway.

You may be a mommy’s girl, watching my every move still and shouting a little too loudly if someone else wants to hold you. But you are also in awe of your Daddy. If you hear his voice you immediately start searching for him, craning your neck. It truly melts my heart to see you both look at each other with so much love and affection. mm9monbwYou have developed a silly side to your lovely personality. Making funny faces and giggling at Mommy and Buba’s funny faces too. You think it’s hilarious. Your funny face is adorable especially with your four beaver teeth now. Your laughter has changed into a little baby sound instead of a newborn, it’s louder and full on. It truly is the best sound in the world.

BWMM9monsAt 9 months, you have mastered ‘the look!’ The one all females have to master, it’s our don’t mess with me face. This is yours above. Mommy wanted to take your elephant away to get you to look at the camera, you were not having it. In came ‘the look’ don’t touch my elephant Mommy. I knew you were serious and I left you to it. Your future husband has no chance with that look. It’s the best.

9monsMMOverall, you are the easiest, happiest, baby ever. Your mannerism is so chilled out, and you don’t ask for much. You would play independently for hours if we let you. I am so blessed to be your mother and have this opportunity to watch you grow and learn in front of my eyes. Oh, what a beautiful site!

Happy 9 Month Birthday Missy Moo!

Look how far you have come…

    • Thanks Charly, coming from the photo finalist that means a LOT to me. I am really trying to apply all that I have learned or advice I have been given. I have a long way to go but feel like I am getting better ones now. Makes these memories even more special. She is growing up so very fast right before my eyes.
