It’s funny in the beginning visiting midwifes and hospital appointments where each visit you are given a guess at your due date. Mine has changed four days by a day. This makes it really hard to keep track on which exact day of the week I actually hit the next week. Also I have had a few scans due to bleeding and cramping which was really scary but also made different people give me different dates too. My officially due date is May 20, 2018 now (finally). I am sticking to it. So we are slightly into my 13 week pregnant now.
So much has changed this week. I am still super sick, coughing all hours of the night so not much sleep yet either. But because I haven’t been well, I haven’t been in the gym. It’s also been absolutely freezing and gloomy outside so my hand has been in the cookie jar far too many times this past week too. I have gained more weigh at this point then I did almost my entire pregnancy with my daughter so I am slightly nervous about that. I am guessing it’s a boy as I was huge with my son and tiny with my daughter. It seems I am not going the latter way as I hoped for in terms of weight. Hopefully it will calm down and I can get back in the gym next week.
We have had a busy week scheduling my 16 weeks midwife, my 20 week scan, my gender 3D (finding out soon) and getting my flu vaccinations and scheduling my whooping cough vaccination too. There is so much to remember I forget how many appointments are needed. We also did the combine testing for my last scan so there was blood test and measurement tests needed to be done too. I feel like my calendar is consumed already and we just got started.
BABY IS THE SIZE OF A LEMON AT 7.4 CM AND WEIGHING 23 GRAM. BABY’S DEVELOPING TEETH AND FINGERPRINTS.
FUN FACT: BABY’S VOCAL CORDS ARE FORMING. READY TO SING!
I HAVE FELT SLIGHT FLUTTER WHICH MIDWIFE SAID IS BABY MOVING ALREADY AS IT’S MY THIRD I WILL FEEL IT SOONER.
This week the number one question everyone is asking me: “Are you having twins”.
I admit I am bigger than most at 13 weeks but it is my third, my stomach muscles have been cut open from pass surgeries so I have always popped quickly and you know, it is what it is but it’s only one baby in there, sorry to disappoint. I would have loved twins.
I have stopped craving beef and starbursts. Two very odd food items for me to crave but I gave into it while it was there and now it’s gone. I have now wanted everything dipped in mayo. I know not ideal. I do find it was very weird to want mayo as I don’t normally eat mayonnaise and now I love it. Somehow my tastes buds are really changing this time. Sadly, my love for coffee has come at a price. Every time I drink it, I am sick. This baby really hates it. Don’t worry I always drink decaf even when I am not pregnant but I miss it SO much it’s killing me. Somedays I have to have one and suffering the consequences. It’s worth it!
