Trentham Garden Playdates The Trentham Estate

The UK has some pretty amazing places to visit for families and days out. Since it’s such a small country we have that added benefit of being able to drive to various places for the day or a long weekend at the drop of a hat. When it comes to playdates I like to be able to take my kids to places they can explore as much as have fun with their friends.

One of my close friends has introduced me to Trentham Gardens. (no this is not an ad/paid/sponsored post). I truly have fallen in love with this beautiful place. From it’s gardens to it’s ruins, to the beautiful landscape. the lake and all the many things it has to offer the kids to do too.

We have been there three times in the last few months. It’s only about an hour and a bit for us to get there. It’s worth the drive for sure. We meet our friends there so that we can catch up, have coffees while the kids play on the playground, or in the sand play area or in the maze. Trentham Estate is known for encouraging the kids to play on the grass and my kids and their friends love doing rolly-pollies on those perfectly manicured hills.

On this occasion we even got to meet another blogger and her beautiful family in the afternoon while we were there. I love that blogging brings people I wouldn’t otherwise meet into my life. It’s always amazing getting friends with their kids together. The kids all immediately took to playing nicely together. With so many parts to explore and keep their attention held, it really made an easy day out for us moms too. We got to sit back and chatter and just enjoy the beautiful scenery and sunshine.

We haven’t even begun to exhaust all that Trentham Gardens has to offer. There are cafes, shops, garden centre, walks along the lake, and garden areas we haven’t even ventured out to yet. Each season, holds something else new and beautiful to witness like the wisteria in this photo walk I did for my Summer Outfit here. Or the tulips you see in these photos below on our playdate.

There is endless space for picnics on the grass among the blossoms too. I love a good picnic with my kids and it’s even better when you get to share it with friends.

While we haven’t brought Daddy yet with us, it’s definitely next on our list to see it all together as a family. Every time we come home he lusts over our beautiful photos and all the fun we had.

I highly recommend it for a playdate or family day out. The beauty of the landscape will wow you, I promise you that much and the kids will be constantly entertained. Even on a busy days there is SO much space to explore, run wild and free and feels so peaceful and not packed at all.

It was the perfect place to feel comfortable meeting new friends and up with old friends. The perfect place where six children of various ages could have a great day out together. It’s a place we feel like we are on holiday when we visit. It definitely felt like we were somewhere abroad with our toes in the sand and the kids without coats or shoes on. Nothing recharges your batteries faster than the sun on you and eating on ice lolly with friends too.

Thank you to the lovely Kerri-Anne for introducing me to such a gorgeous place and your amazing little boy G for being such a good friend to my little ones. Also to the lovely Chloe for coming to meet us with her lovely three girls who made all the kids feel like one big soccer team. You can read her lovely post about Making New Friends here.

Have you found a gem location you love meeting up with friends at???
