This little guy turned five months old this week. The days are flying by, the weeks blurring together and the months keep adding up. He has so many firsts right away with his first Halloween, first Thanksgiving and first Christmas to celebrate. It’s going to be a busy next few months with us but we are looking forward to watching this one grow and change along side us.

I am just putting final touches on the nursery this week and I can’t wait to share it with all of you. It’s definitely taken me longer to put it together with three children, working fulltime and life just on speed dial.

The biggest changes to baby boy this month is we started weaning! That big milestone that’s one of my absolutely favorites with my kids. I love watchign them squish their faces up if they don’t like something or smack their lips when they love it. He has been so good with all the food so far, loving it and eating a whole lot more than a few bites right off the start just like his siblings did. If you are eating something he now chases it with his mouth and tries to take your spoon or fork away from you. It’s food envy for sure. I love watching his little legs start kicking in excitement while I am preparing his meals.

He still is trying to sit up on his own but can’t quite hold himself from toppling forward. It’s hilarious because when he falls over he looks at you like, hey, you just pushed me over. It wont’ be long I can tell that this one will be a mover.

I have never had to baby proof the house but I think this time he is going to give us a challenge on what he can reach, break, touch, eat, and get his little slobbery hands on. It’s a good thing I love a good challenge. Baby boy is five months old baby diaries baby updates baby milestones

We have been having such a great time getting to know this little one. In some ways it feels like he has been here far longer than only five months and other ways I can’t believe he is five months old. It’s always the case when they are this age. Time flies when you are busy watching babies coo and smile. I could watch him all day long.

He has turned clingy this month too. I don’t know whether it’s teething still bothering him but he doesn’t want anyone but me to hold him. He isn’t even happy if people like his own Daddy hold him at the moment. I don’t want to create a monster on my hands but the day can get touch wanting to be held all the time or near me. I feel bad for Granny or other friends that want to hold him and try to let them and he screams down the house. All they want are some baby snuggles and me some free arm time. At least I will get strong arm muscles, silver lining and all.

He is loving all the attention he gets from his two older siblings. They adore him almost too much. He definitely will have them wrapped around his little finger if he doesn’t already. I know what it’s like to be the baby of the family so I can see it forming already between my three children. It’s inevitable the baby gets all the attention. How can he not being this cute though?

We look forward to the next stage of rolling over and crawling. I need to get eyes in the back of my head installed pronto!
